Mine currently now says just "Zonda Roadster", which will get annoying later. -
Sounds like something I could do, and something I'd be interested in doing (I'd like having this myself :P ). I'll add this to my To Do List.

The application requires the Microsoft .NET Framework, which you may not have. Find it on Microsoft's site and install it.

Tool831: Pagani Zonda F - Roadster & Coupe V1.0.1
RedCarDriver replied to Tool831's topic in Vehicle Mods
Wow. The original F Coupe mod was a bit strange-looking with the materials, but the new Coupe and Roadster look great! Thanks! -
Guh.... wow. You do realize this is the first bike mod, right? Sweet!
-
1. Probably not. 2. More than likely, yes, but the server may boot you. 3. Bodies and interiors yes, sounds possibly. 4. There was a glitch involving renting an Elise at the start of the career that supposedly could get you the Default Car, but I don't remember the specifics of it and it would probably A. not work and B. seriously screw up your game, so I wouldn't recommend even researching it. As far as the bike, no idea. Overall, it's not worth the effort and hassle. Just find another car to replace.
-
That. That's the car I was referring to (or was going to mention) as being the ugliest car ever. Seriously, eww. What a waste of a Z, seriously. [mod edit:] Please do not quote images, thanks!

Probe. Among FWD cars, Probe may be heavy (compared to the Tigra) but it's still pretty nice. Quality isn't likely to be too good though, but then again, the Opel is probably the same way.
-
Then shouldn't it be 997-MKII, as opposed to plain MKII? :P Graargh. Why couldn't they just give the new 911 a new chassis code
-
Not only are they too dark to possibly be legal, they are tinted unevenly. *facepalm*

The "Same Manufacturer "Car .vs. Car"" Thread
RedCarDriver replied to DriftNismo's topic in Automotive Discussion
Alright. I need to end this poll before anyone else goes "bah Prius" or "bah iQ" or "bah Toyota in general". (I myself have done this, obviously, so this includes me. lol) So, now for something entirely different: Toyota Wait, what? Oops. Tee hee. :P Toyota Soarer 3.0GT / Lexus SC300 or Toyota Chaser Tourer V JZX100 (although this pic may not show a Tourer V, but instead a lower spec) My vote is for the Chaser, because it'd be unique where I live and it contains a highly recent revision of the 1JZ. Sure, the larger and stronger 2JZ in the Soarer is great, but the out-of-the-box turbo in the Chaser would be a definite plus. -
Technically, wouldn't this be the MkIII? There was a 996 GT3 RS as well. (Ah well, I don't go by "mark X" or by year anyway - "mark" numbers depend on when you start counting and model numbers are ambiguous AND too much work to memorize; instead, I use chassis codes. 996. JZA80. BCNR33. By that, any reasonably well-versed enthusiast should know exactly what I mean. A few cars are exceptions, like the Lancer VII-IX, but still.) As far as the car goes, I vastly prefer the previous GT3 RS. I like the spoiler and I think the new engine is probably an improvement, but that's pretty much it.

Just to be safe I AdBlocked the website's entire domain. Yet another hole in the theory behind Steam's business model

Tool831: Tweaking your HUD needles
RedCarDriver replied to Tool831's topic in Car Customization Mods
The numbers are in degrees. You can use GIMP's rotate tool, which can rotate to .1 of a degree or smaller, to figure out what degree measurements you need. That said, the MAX position is relative to the MIN position. The MIN position is relative to the gauge type, meaning that a reading of 0 on the source gauge type is equivalent to 0 degrees - negative values are allowed when necessary. This, of course, adds the possibility of having upside-down gauge needles or something crazy like that, assuming you can find a gauge type that will look good for something like that. 8) In fact, you may even be able to make the gauges move backwards, but figuring that out (and finding out whether or not that would work, as opposed to crash the game) is left as an exercise to you guys. Unless, of course, I decide to try it if I get bored sometime. -
As far as I know, that means no gearbox. But I have no idea why they'd leave something like that out...

Convertibles That Men Can be seen Driving
RedCarDriver replied to CarMadMike's topic in Automotive Discussion
Not the new 500. No way, unless it's an Abarth. I think this belongs more towards "debatable". *cough* I think it's more-or-less the other way around. Z4 has softer lines IMO, while the Z3 is E36-ish. E36 convertible: yes. E46 conv.: not unless it's an M3. E92 conv.: highly debatable unless it's an M3. SLK (R129) and SL65 AMG are the only Merc. convertibles that automatically qualify. 240SX S13 convertible automatically qualifies. Silvia Varietta (S15) would be debatable (if that) in Japan, but in the US, it qualifies - only a true car enthusiast would have the patience to get one imported, regardless of gender. First- and second-gen Eclipse convertibles are highly debatable unless they're seriously modded. But, if they're riced, no one should be seen driving them  Third and fourth-gens are out, unless they're modded considerably (and not riced). SC300 / Soarer convertible would work (assuming they exist in large enough quantities), but SC430s are pretty much out. Mustangs are acceptable as long as they're not V6es, and as long as they're not both post-2004 and stock. Foxbody Mustangs are always cool as long as they're not belching smoke or riced-out. Fourth-gen Firebirds and Camaros are more debatable. (Targas are acceptable on those though.) 300ZX convertible is awesome, always (until rice is applied). Monaro convertible ("Marilyn") is debatable - especially since of its codename, and because there's only one  Infiniti G37 or Lexus IS convertible? Probably not (unless the IS is hand-converted to IS F spec). -
Mine's. HKS. I'm reluctant to say VeilSide, because I know people will disagree with me. APR. I'm severely disappointed by the lack of Japanese companies in this thread. :P

The "Same Manufacturer "Car .vs. Car"" Thread
RedCarDriver replied to DriftNismo's topic in Automotive Discussion
Oh dear, I don't think I'll be able to supply that one with an answer. xD (although I think I'd pick the iQ, mainly because it's smaller and not a bloated whale. lol) I'll dump my answers for all of the previous polls I can remember at the minute: LP640 R32 (mainly because of rarity factor) 430 Camaro (assuming it's an SS) E46 E46 again Escort RS Cosworth LP560-4 360 Stradale Asian-model Civic Integra Type-R RX-7 Supra 370Z -
You don't only need DB_US.bnk, you also need DB.bnk. In fact, you mainly need DB.bnk - that's most likely the corrupted file. If you don't have a backup of that, you may as well download the patch 1.67D - it contains a new DB.bnk which overwrites your current one, so, after you run the patch, you can back-up your DB.bnk before you attempt to mod the database files again. :)
-
That is probably either a Corvette Z06 or an Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. I'll go with BlingBling'd Alfa, because The Sponge guessed Corvette already.
-
I'd personally like to see a 180SX Type-X, which is basically the latest-model S13.
-
QFT. Besides, the Mustang and Challenger are the only two cars worth having on the poll - all the others either don't actually exist, are already in the game or made, or are lame FWD cars which no one has a model for. :oook:
-
If you're using version 1.10.0, some screwy things with the dealerships can happen. Assuming the dealership is still there and you're using 1.10.2, just add the car back into the dealership and all should be fine. :)

Selling: Cars With Specialty Paint
RedCarDriver replied to RedCarDriver's topic in Driving & Racing Games
EDIT: "BAWWWW :(" post cleaned up. If you want anything and you are in a timezone significantly different from US Mountain Time, feel free to doublecheck my time-zone math if you think mine is off. This is still open, by the way. Anyone interested?
