Well to be completely honest, I shake my head at some of the great images that don't get voted for a lot of the time, there is great stuff that gets entered and half the time they loose to stuff that is more like a snapshot than something that someone put a lot of effort into, not to offend anyone because there is a lot of solid entries, but I feel the best stuff constantly gets overlooked in voting. Plus your point is kinda irrelevant in the photography world, even people that can take an incredible image in camera may still retouch the image to make it better, even if it's basic stuff like tones, highlights and shadows, and even cropping (gasp) because you don't always get the perfect image in camera. I'm just saying that allowing editing may actually push people to create better entries, rather than just jumping on a game, snapping a shot and calling it done, I see entries like hassan's that have put a lot of effort into composition, location, etc and have produced great images, and didn't get as many votes. I am probably going to get a lot of hate for this, but I honestly don't care, I'm just sick of the great stuff that people put a lot of effort into not being voted for.

A lot of basic editing techniques are reasonably easy to learn, there are thousands of tutorials out there, and there is free image editing programs that people can use (gimp, etc) maybe we can do a contest that allows editing once every month or two just to see how it goes and then decide from there?

I remember that contest, that needs to be a thing again, so many awesome looking entries when editing is allowed.

It's a ute plain and simple, and with the hardtop on it's a panel van not a station wagon.

Not sure if this will be allowed, as it is still American Muscle, it's just a muscle truck rather than a car, if it isn't allowed I'm more than happy to change it. ENTRY POST

project cars 2 Project CARS 2 - First trailer out
TDUFREAK500 replied to superhyper's topic in Driving & Racing Games
Well this is set to have a lot more tracks and cars than the previous pCARS, the new one is going to have 170+ cars and 60+ tracks, that's a big step up from the 64 cars and 33 tracks that came out of the box with the first game. -
Happy Birthday, hope it's a good one!

We Are 10 Years Old Today! -- HOLY QWUACK!
TDUFREAK500 replied to TurboDuck's topic in News & Support
huge congrats on making a community that is still around and thriving after 10 years, I have been on forums that didn't last anywhere near as long before slowly dying off, so to still be around and thriving is awesome! It's absolutely insane to think that I have been a member for over 7 years now, I still remember buying the game from a local game store back in 2009 because I thought it looked cool, I had no idea how big a part of my life it would become. I stumbled upon the forum one day a few months after getting the game, I can;t remember exactly why, but I was probably looking for some help with something, and then I discovered the mods section and I was hooked on this community and signed up immediately. I then discovered how much fun the community was, and how much everyone loved to joke around, and I enjoyed it even more, and over seven years later I'm still here and still visit every day. -
Having some fun on Akagi Touge.
