  1. Try to create an offline account and see if the game actually starts. As a test.
  2. As i said and will repeat, either we play using common sense, with a grain of salt, or we will need to have themes with thesis to describe them. And i think we should stick with the first case, since the theme is not the main thing of this competition.
  3. You see, that's the thing. Theme says British Cars, not brands. Imo, it's easier to leave to the person who picked the theme to decide. You take your photo as you understood and it's fine. Edit: Even that theme can be "complex". Sunny weather for british people is different than sunny weather for people who live in tropical countries. Orange can be discussed, untill which point a shade of orange is acceptable and it doesn't turn red or yellow? Also, colorblind? The point is, having a theme with a description is only necessary if people don't want to use their common sense. It is necessary when people forget that this is primarilly made for fun. The main reason is to pick a new banner, everything else is secondary.
  4. Ok, so, i'd like to give my view on this. In my humble opinion, i believe that what is lacking is common sense. What is the real porpouse of these banner contests? It is to refresh the banner image. Period. It's not the competition, and it's not the theme, those two things are secondary, that we make for fun. If it's for fun, why take it so seriously and not with a grain of salt? What we can't do though is pick in one theme, that is "seen" as complicated and not pick on another that "seens" easier. Every theme will have loopholes, every theme can be complex. We can't play with "2 weights, 2 measures" (Not sure if you guys heard this expression, but it means take 2 things that are the same, differently) Specially because we all may see and understand things differently. For some, Ford Europe can not be classified as british, for some, it can, but in fact now that a lot of cars are not built in their manufactor origin place. The point is, we must play this with common sense. Let the person who picked the theme actually decide, even if you don't agree with his opinion about a Ford Europe being british or not. And if you don't really understand the theme and has to "play it safe", so be it. If you want to risk, go on too, but as said, it's taking a risk. And if your image is not accepted by the person who picked the theme, either you take another photo or if you can't be arsed, you drop off that round. It's not much of a big deal. Either we start to take this with a grain of salt, or we will need to have themes with big texts, explaining what is and what is not allowed.
  5. I think that the 5 series wagon is the best, if you compare with A6 and E class. Imo.
  6. You see, Ford RS Team is actually british, but Ford Europe is german. Ford Escort RS Cosworth was built in Germany, but it was very popular in UK. So, what really defines a british car? Cars built in UK? Cars sold in UK? Cars that have euro models? Cars with the steering wheel on the wrong side?
  7. I so could problematize this. Edit: But i will try to be a bit helpful. Here is a link, with all UK Fords -> British Fords And here is the european ones, which means out of UK aswell. -> European Fords
  8. As some other members already said, Tduck is also a special place for me. I've been here for good 7 years, joined in January 2010, after lurking this forum for a while. As Scott, i also got first the PS2 version of the game. I knew about Test Drive games, and when i saw this Test Drive Unlimited, for PS2, with a cool cover of the mirror of an yellow car, i had to try it out. I bought a pirate copy for my PS2... not ashamed of that, untill then i had never ever had any original games, because they were so expensive! And i got hooked. I loved playing it in my PS2... until i found out that the PS2 version was incomplete. It lacked Ferraris, and a lot of other things were missing. I had to get a computer copy of the game. Asked as a birthday gift, TDU PC was the first original game i ever had, but i didn't have a powerfull enough computer to run it, only in my grandmother's house i had access to a good computer, which was my uncle's one. I picked so much on his head, for months, untill he finally installed the game for me. It was pure bliss. Still remember my blue A3 i first bought, because the A3 didn't exist in the PS2 version. I played this game for hours and hours, even through the night, i remember to get back home at like 5am because i've been playing the game for 7 hours. My mom getting worried that i was doing something wrong, as it was the only reason i could stay for so long through the night in front of the computer, calling me an addicted and etc. TDU was also my first contact with online gaming and meeting with people from other countries and places around the world. Since i was a fresh girl in the internet like that, having contact with people who have never seen me before, i can tell it was a hard time. I've been accused of a lot of things, people lied and many many times i didn't feel welcome and have been banned from some other forums, and then i found this place. I still remember how i felt welcome here, even though my english skills were extremelly low. People had patience, nobody really judged me, as Santtu said, it was a place i knew i could go and talk with people. It was like a cosy home. Sure i had rough times in here, because i know i am not an easy person, as a result, i got into a lot of arguments, but that is also something that quite helped me, helped me to realize that i might be the problem and the cause of my own issues around here. Many of my friends i made here opened my eyes to that, and i am extremelly thankful for that. I can say Tduck helped me, not as a gamer, but as a person. People here taught me lots and lots of things, things, that i still carry with me. I am thankful to each one of you, and i will carry you guys and this place forever, deep inside my heart, because this is an important part of my life. Even though i might argue and cause troubles times-to-times, i love you guys. Thanks to Diablo, for running this place like it is, thanks to all actual and past blue team, thanks everyone, for making this place, what it is and have been. This will always be my cosy home on internet.
  9. You play in automatic, right? Try to not accelerate before the race actually starts. Because keep in mind, TDU was not made to handle dragster, so, when you add too much power, they actually do that; And i don't know how to fix such thing, neither know if it's possible. In the other hand, if you want a fast car, that can actually be usable, i should recommend you to look for a Supra, or a Dodge Viper GTS '13 or Viper TA.
  10. Dealers are not full yet. They're almost full. Tuning has no "car limit", but it has brand limit. If i add a new car, that is from a new brand, that car won't be tuned. But if the new car is a Ferrari, Porsche, Honda, or any already existing brand, it can be tuned just fine.
  11. Multiple choices. That is the point. It is better to have a car in game and sell one of your 400 other than don't have the car at all. Plus, the number of cars won't increase that much anymore. If they're 10 more it is already too much. Edit: Also, you have access. Garage number does not restrict your access to the car. It just limits your garage, and there is nothing i can do about it.
  12. I am sorry, but that won't happen. The original DB9 that TDU made was horrible wrong and messed up. In this pack, it's gone for good. That's quite sad. And i do plan to add a bit more of vehicles to it. So... more cars will be out of the garages. I don't understand what is your issue. Please try to say it again, using different words.
  13. Yeah, i do, and i am sorry if have choosen a not "IN THE FACE" theme. It's ok. But if you want to blame only me for all that, here are a couple of things... I tried to explain. Sorry if i thought that in this forum, which talks a lot about cars, didn't get the difference between a race car and a rice one. But things could be handled in a different way. And i am not blaming you for that, but it all could be handled and clarified in a different way. As a matter of fact, the chatbox conversation just happened to happen there, it was not something that people have choose to do it there. And i am sorry, but i think i have every right to be upset, which is different than offended. What i tried to do, didn't work. It actually went totally backwards. Edit: As a matter of fact, touring cars have been mentioned in the same post as the theme was. In the previous thread.
  14. As i said, it was simple. 1990 to 1999 JDM cars and touring cars. No Fast and Furious cars. It was very simple. Very easy to understand, and appart from 2 entries being from 2000, everyone have stick to the theme. So, i really fail to see where it was "complicated". Edit: Actually 3. But the last entry probably got uploaded after it changed to JDM. Edit 2: But ok, lesson learned. Nothing you guys should worry about from now on.
  15. I really don't mind anymore. I picked a theme, and then people kept trying to decide what was and what was not valid by their own decisions... ask me to pick the theme went completelly non-sense, as apparently everyone decided to give inputs in it. Plus, i knew you all would miss a Lancer Evolution VI T.M.E., which is also 2000 and not 1999. Next time, don't ask the winner to pick a theme, pick it yourselves. Easy, isn't it? Spare everyone from the trouble it can cause.

  17. More than 100 vehicles are only obtainable via tuning. They are not sold in the dealerships, but when you buy a standard one and tune it, it changes to another vehicle. Skyline R32 -> Mine's Skyline R32, for example.
