So, picture heavy post galore. For sources, go right click the pictures and view their properties, over half comes from a dutch car blog.
Have an electric R8, the new R8 e-tron. Lot less intakes, outlets and what not. Wheels are closed, helps for aerodynamics, I wonder about brake cooling but ok I'm sure they thought of something. Not really fond of the styling, it's the same with VW which is really pulling everything tight. I'm sure if they had a chance they'd make wheels in cube shape.
Electric range is 450 km, power is 460 PS and 920 Nm of torque. 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of either 210 km/h or 250 km/h, both electronically limited, 250 km/h being optional.
Then there's Aston Martin, also with an electric vehicle which is AWD btw. They call it the DBX Concept and it has a rather unusual interior for being an Aston Martin. No center tunnel, no typical thick beefy seats of GT's and other luxury cars. It offers room for four adults and is aimed at being a practical car, offering room for luggage both in the front as in the rear. No numbers or statistics are known but they say it has 4 electric motors and the body of the car is made of aluminium. It also is said to feature a KERS-ish system. Oh, and it's pretty tall for an Aston.
Have some more pictures of the new 911 GT3 RS. Not really a fan of the dark trim underneath the front bumper. Looks like something for cheap-style SUV's like a Merc GLA or something (oh look plastic, I'm rough!)
Imo a very nice concept from Kia (calster, you reading this?), the SportSpace. Stands on 20-inch rims and is almost 5 meters long, 1.87 meters wide and 1.42 meter tall. Looks pretty sporty from the inside as well. Definitely another great conceptcar from Kia, yet to wonder if we'll see it even half as cool on the street some day.
Here, have a better look at the Regera! Koenigsegg mentions the next numbers:
1100 Hp of combustion engine power on 91 octane DIN or 95 octane RON (a bit more on E85)
1250 Nm of combustion engine torque
700 Hp of electric propulsion
900 Nm of electric torque
9 kWh 620 Volt, flooded liquid cooled battery pack
COMBINED NUMBERS
Over 1500 BHp or 1.11 MW
Over 2000 Nm of torque
Dry weight 1420 kg
1628 kg curb weight (including all liquids and full fuel tank)
The AM Vulcan is on Geneva, so there are live-pictures of it now. Remember when Lego used orange translucent plastic flames? Aston Martin ordered a bag of them as well. Apparently 24 will be built (cars, not plastic flames), at a price of 1,5 million pounds and each with a 7-liter V12 good for over 800 hp. A sequential 6-speed transfers the power to the 19 inch rear wheels.
Mike, have a VAG product! This lemon is the Volkswagen CLS Passat CC Sport Coupe Concept GTE.
Oh and Land Rover is on Geneva too. End of the Defender is nearing, so they introduced 3 special versions. The orange one is the Adventure Edition, the brown/black one is the Autobiography, and the light greenish one is the Heritage Edition.
