  1. No multiplayer. SCS's team behind ETS2 is extremely small and doesn't have much experience with flawless multiplayer games, so ETS2 won't have multiplayer. Quote from late 2011: ''There won't be multiplayer in ETS2. With the size of our world, doing MP right is not an easy thing. Trust us that we are thinking hard on how to put multiplayer into our games and how to do it The Right Way, but you will still need to be patient with us, it is not doable in the timeframe of this project. Delaying the game any more because of this feature is not an option for us.''
  2. To demonstrate the scale of the game world, they released a new vid. It takes a few minutes but is actually 2 real-time hours of gaming, a drive from the UK to Italy:
  3. Publishers only do stuff wrong: they might be the ones with money, but théy'll make demands for the game and théy'll be the ones to decide to rush the whole bunch.
  4. gravy
  5. Asobo developed it, but Codemasters took over their game and forced them to do all those changes without aiding in development to make it better. Asobo first had in mind to build a no-nonsense modern Dakar-ish rally game, Grand Raid Offroad, in an African-ish gameworld, being the largest gameworld ever at that time. The project got canned, and Codemasters pulled in the studio to severely modify the game. Thanks to Codemasters it became the dead boring apocalyptic environment game, and Codemasters was responsible for support. There was enough reason for them to hit Asobo with the demand to develop game patches because there were a lot of mistakes. Codemasters therefor had more than enough influence to influence the project, but we all know what it turned into: just some bragging about 14.400 km² and nothing else.
  6. It shows how selfish they are, Codemasters doesn't care about the community, it's really comparable to Atari. They don't learn. They've had massive rages going on at the Fuel forums when it was announced that cockpitview and bumperview from the trailer would NOT be ingame, and the tornadoes only showed up prescripted during races. They just won't learn. It starts to look like the german top 3 premium carbrands: they keep making new cars for new segments over and over again, but who asked for it? They're just building blindly.
  7. If it has the same post-release support from Codemasters, I wish you all good luck :D Also, cockpitremoval is an Atari idea. It shows though that Codemasters is a fully blind dev, fully giving in on the American 13-year-olds who don't care. Fuel already sparkled a huge rage on the community when it saw both cockpit ás bonnet or bumper view being removed, and nothing was done. With ANY racegame that has no cockpit view, people will complain (although games WITH that view also get complaints from the handful of people who cry for steeringwheel removal ¬¬)
  8. Three updates: August 7th: License Plates August 9th: Playing with Depth of Field August 13th: Management Screens

  14. Makes me curious if they actually are working together with Porsche or not x) Still though, they can calmly release this game, NFS5 still stands lonely at the top after 12 years and will continue to do so. YAY FOR NFS5!
  15. C63. The sound makes a Zombie your best friend.
  16. I got the game in 2007 for graduating from secundary school, and my dad promised me I'd finally get a new computer. So I got it and installed TDU1 on it. Was amazing, could run it full spec (that wasn't often the case since I'm not like most rich people who buy new hardware every month). After completing career, I still played it often to cruise around, tried some mods, modded a few things myself, bought the megapack when it @*^%$&^@ finally showed up, but in the end my mates showed up less and less and combined with my 3d stuff and other games, I lost interest in 2010 and haven't played it again. Then I got a new PC in 2011, and haven't reinstalled TDU1 on it. Then again somewhere I don't have the urge/interest to replay TDU1 as much as I have with old NFS games, Max Payne 2, GTA SA and IV and even Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 xD
  17. ETS2 won't get multiplayer online. In the many blogs they've posted, they often stated how everybody requested (understatement) multiplayer online. They just can't do it. They're on a tight budget, they're a small studio's and they said online multiplayer definitely won't be in at this time. Whenever they get the chance to do it, they'd do it though.
  18. So it seems another often requested feature is implemented simple: pedestrians.
  19. Watching a 130+ pages and 150+ guests topic on GTAForums because GameInformer is about to show the August Cover and because somebody once said V would be on/in it, the internet is about to stop in roughly one hour.... Trust me, GTAForums.com at peak time is better than anything on tv. Oh and yesterday I watched Independence Day again. Still love that movie.
  20. New island?! Wow.... That's quite an achievement...
  21. Difference is, now proven without doubts, that Eden is an incompetent bunch of french snaileaters who are too lazy to make a game right and don't stick to promises. SCS Software on the other hand already fixes the game during development if the community spots flaws, and they've already announced a first patch for that Scania Truck game. SCS delivers, simple.
