  1. I know it's not that much yet (contentwise), but it's a small tech-demo and you already show some things that big AAA-titles clearly missing and players like to have. :D It's online :) btw: rainlight seems not to be working. The rest works fine.

  4. The july-cars drop tonight for season pass owners. The other players will get their hands on them in 7 days. Since IGN has spoilered the news anyway (in consultation with Ubisoft), we are allowed to share this footage. :) Edit: The announcement "cars are available at midnight" was unfortunately too optimistic by the ComDevs. They will be available after the patch. Patchnotes you find here
  5. I think that wasn't a real taxidriver. ;) This guy looked more like a securityguy and probably was connected to Ubisoft in some way or just a private shuttle- or chauffeurservice. I didn't ask him to be honest. He was just the driver that brought me from the hotel back to the airport. The other players who were in the workshop with me had to drive with a regular minibus btw. :D

Have fun with the Tesla Diablo. :) I have to admit, since i had my first Tesla-experience, i would not say strictly "no" to them anymore. :D This was my taxi when i was in Lyon for a communityworkshop with Ubisoft. :tup: I wanted to ask him to show the ludicrous mode, but with the trafficrules of france in mind i resisted.

  10. Are you playing with widescreen-resolution? I've read a lot of players had problems absolving the photomission while they used widescreen-res. They turned down the res to "normal" and it instantly worked. (Bug was already reported and hopefully soon gets fixed.)
  11. TC2 is officially out of the door. Since the wheelsupport is not really working at the moment i do other stuff meanwhile where i do not need the wheel. So on thursday Luna and me did alle the photomissions (except the one with the hoovercraft) and i recorded all the stuff, that might be a help for others. It's easy money and easy followers. Have fun watching. ;) If you have questions, just ask.
  12. The general meaning is the handling is better than in TC2, but the wheelsupport definitely got a step back compared to TC1. Last night i drove a small stint with a friend to test his twitchsettings for streaming and we drove about 10 races. Compared to the other tests i participated over the last 8 months it was the worst drivingexperience so far in TC2. The lag of FFB was the worst part. I had it on 100% ingame and it felt like 30-40% when i started the first race. (As comparison in TC1 i have the FFB at 70% in the profiler and around the same in the game, and it feels good enough to drive fast and clean.) Race by race it vanished more and more until i had no FFB at all anymore. I never experienced such weird behaviour of the FFB. The wheelsupport wasn't the best in all the other tests, but at least you could drive. But this time it was just unacceptably bad. I really hope the open beta was just an older build and they tweaked it already to an acceptable level for the final game. (In two days i can tell more about it.)

  14. Did you test it on uplay directly or uplay-onlinestore? For me it worked in the online-store when i pre-ordered, even with a code i generated with a different uplay-account. Edit: btw here is some footage i captured during the beta. (cruisingfootage i post in my related thread.)
  15. I did that in march too to pre-order the motor-edition. And now, seeing how much the season-pass will cost, it looks like a good decision. (79,99 Euro for the motor-edition compared to 59,99 basegame + 40 $ (probably 30 Euro) for the SP. (Of course you have to cut the 20% discount from these prizes, but it still does look like that.)
  16. Very rarely i think. ;) We usually start cruising between 8 and 9 p.m. (GMT +2) and drive for a couple of hours. But if we meet ingame you can of course join us. :)

  18. Looks very ambitious and i would foreward it to my clubmembers, since we are all about drivinggames. But before i do that, and i'm pretty sure it will be the first question i get thrown in the face, does it have wheelsupport already? (Maybe a stupid question, but since noone of us - except one - is playing with pad or keyboard, it could be the first argument for them to say "let's wait". All of us are driving with wheel.)
  19. Graphically the game generally looks better than TC1 and it runs smoother on my system than it's predecessor. Unfortunately i can't say more about it at this moment (due to NDA-reasons). But from what i saw so far it looks more "unpersonal" (if i can say so). Every city looks nearly the same and most of the unique seights got vanished. I'm also a little bit worried about how much content we will have at release. The released videos do not show more than i already know and the beta will be cut short by a lock to the first famelevel, which shows that it will be basically just a stresstest for the servers and not a profound preview to the final game. So for the final overview what's in the game we will have to wait until the end of june when the game is finally released. From what i saw so far the game has it's enhancements compared to TC1 but also it's degradations - the white map, no odometer, no teleport everywhere, no tuners where you can buy performanceparts (at least i didn't saw them so far, just how you earn them by grinding), too tiny roads for smooth cruising or even fast racing. (I only hope that our feedback we gave during the tech-tests and the meeting with the devs in Lyon will produce at least some fruits. Until now i do not see anything we discussed there.) Also there seem to be no red line in the story (if you can even call it a story). I fear the same issue i had in Forza Horizon 3. There i finished the showcases within 2 weeks without even touching 99% of the races, went up to level 500 and had about 400 cars after 4 weeks, which ended up in pretty soon boredom. Since then i only "worked" my way up to legendary painter to be able to sell rare cars for ridiculous prices and to collect enough money to buy all cars, but now i don't do more than driving the Goliath-race every now and then. I hope it wont be that way here. Overall The Crew 2 looks to me like a clone of Forza Horizon and GTA and has nothing to do anymore with the original idea of The Crew, which is a little bit sad. Don't get me wrong, i already pre-ordered the "Motor Edition" when it came out, because this game will probably be the next meetingplace for my club, but i'm not that much excited about it as i like to be. I will definitely drive the cars and boats with my wheel. The planestuff i will finish as soon as possible with a pad, just to get over it, as i'm not interested at all in them. btw The beta starts on may 31st (and ends on june 4th).

  21. I'm joining this show off here :) This is my toy (for 1,5 years now) I got it for pretty good price and low mileage. (The add on the side comes off next year. Until then i get the inspections for free driving around with their add.)
  22. Regarding the devs i spoke to when i was in Lyon there will be no further delay. :) To the beta i may add that it's not under NDA.
