Your favourite driving games of all time?
Carbon_Kid replied to CarMadMike's topic in Driving & Racing Games
Let's say I was veeeery disappointed with that game I actually don't want to talk about. :smig: But to get back on Diablo's opinion on the Gran Turismo-Series. It is really a shame that this game doesn't get better. Do you guys think that they finally fix the problems from former versions with the upcoming Gran Turismo Sport which will be released for PS4? -
Your favourite driving games of all time?
Carbon_Kid replied to CarMadMike's topic in Driving & Racing Games
(at)Mr Softie: Sorry to hear that! I thank God that I had waited with my purchase until after the game was released. For me the whole thing smelled too much like "Sims On Tour". :D (But enough OT... :smig:) -

... YES! :D I had the "pleasure" to "play" the game for only an hour. That was more than enough for me. -

Features you would like to see in TDU3 (if it ever happens)
Carbon_Kid replied to TDU3FTW's topic in Driving & Racing Games
I am not sure, but doesn't the game, which I don't want to mention, already have these features like off-road challenges and dynamic weather? -
American road and surroundings, also this road seems to be closed off with guard rails, fences or other objects too. Looks definitely like a NFS-spinoff to me. Hopefully this is just a track for testing purposes. It's hard to judge a physics engine by just watching an early preview video. Let's wait for more details...

Every owr is interesting to me.The more owr games the merrier. It would be nice to have some more diversity in this (racing) game sector and more roads and land to explore.

In case you didn't hear of this youtube video already, it would be my pleasure to show you this video of Marcel Pfister in which he used a green screen with an Oculus Rift. You must know am I a very big supporter of VR in racing/driving games. I think that this technology will revolutionise racing games as we know it today. I do own an OR DK2 unit and I can safely say that, at least in my opinion, there is no going back. Once you have experienced VR and looked around as Marcel does in this video, you are basically transported to whichever open world or circuit and get to sit in any number of (race) cars you have. The immersion level of VR is absolutely breathtaking and there is no comparison to triples or projection, mainly because of the fact that you are literally thrown in the game itself. There just isn’t anything else that compares to what is attacking your senses just by driving in VR. Enjoy the video!

Codemasters Welcome Evolution Studios To The Family
Carbon_Kid replied to TurboDuck's topic in Driving & Racing Games
Didn't they already do that with "Autosport" or doesn't that one count? ;-) -
Codemasters Welcome Evolution Studios To The Family
Carbon_Kid replied to TurboDuck's topic in Driving & Racing Games
I think Sony made a big mistake. On the other hand it's great news for the employees at Evolution and all Codies! I wish the both of them all the best and hopefully in the near future we'll see something great to arise out of this collaboration. -
GEAR.Club: a mobile racing game by Eden Games
Carbon_Kid replied to Carbon_Kid's topic in Driving & Racing Games
Sorry guys, Unfortunately it's not an OWR, it's just an ordinary mobile game. I got fooled by the image of the 'world map' on its HP and the stated game features such as 'realistic driving experience'. Sorry for this false alarm, it won't happen again. ;-) -
Edit: FALSE ALERT! it is just a mobile game with some closed tracks, and NOT an open world racer! :( The guys at Eden Games are on the loose again. Somehow they managed to develope another game called GEAR.Club with the possibility to customize your cars. The map looks like it came directly from "Phantasialand". ;-) Some game features: - total customization freedom - explore breathtaking settings - car engines and interiors in HD - realistic driving experience - various race modes? More images and the map can be found on their websites: http://www.edengames.com or www.gear.club
