- performance data (not that well calibrated, I'm not that good at it),
- might add a roof later but I care about it as much as this thing does about your safety.
Known issues:
- the driver's head goes slightly too high,
- the second LOD is not great.

First you need to choose the directory for what version of tdu you have, either vanilla, platinum or natan edition, it's
not hard to follow that if you're not dense
For Installation: just drag the folder EURO inside your main TDU installation folder and replace "F612_audio.bnk"
when it ask if you wanna replace, simple as that!
if you want to replace the sound of another vehicle instead you need first to know what is the name of the sound file of
the desireble vehicle (ex. viper) and then rename it "viper_xxx_audio.BNK" then replace it when it asks.

  DON'T YOU HATE WHEN VIDEO GAME COMPANIES BRING THE COOLEST RACING CONCEPT CAR TO A GAME AND THEY...WELL DOESN'T SOUND LIKE A RACING CAR AT ALL??
Well. since it's a concept car, obviously nobody has a record of this beast making a track so we could have a taste of her punchy engine sound. BUT, i tried to recreated the sound using EVERYTHING WE KNOW about what has supposely this car.
For this i have used:
V8 5.0 COYOTE SOUND ON A DYNO RUN!
   Yeah, this baby brings 5.0-liter Cammer crate 440-horsepower engine under its hood. So i used so much of the samples using some dyno videos (loud ones, because a racing car IS a racing car), used some reverb and bass to cause more impact when decreasing gears, about that....
STRAIGHT CUT GEARS!
   I was wondering if i could put some supercharger effect in this, but basically it would break every fiber of harmonic of the bravery 5.0 liter in what suppose to be a racing car. Plus, i guess it gearbox supposed to be pretty loud, so i gave the meaning to be a G-T-R

All sectors of the map have been redesigned(big work*), except for places near houses and palm trees (they couldn't be changed)... the asphalt has also been changed, snowflakes and icing have been added to the road curbs...added modern traffic.Stock platinum weather.
* to install move all files with replacement. * for taffic delete the old one and install the downloaded one.

  This is my first sound mod ever, took me a long time to realize how to make it but i finally did it! My intent was to make it closed to what you get in a real
Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, but it happens that EVERY video showing this car has no good sound quality or the audio can't be turned into a good loop....or it does..well idk, thing is that i decided to share my experience to those how may take inspirations:
This mod took:
- Some samples from World Racing 2, i mixed it until it get to a reasonable level of ear pleasure, and of course, close to the original, BUT NOT PERFECT, since there's no good source video (people don't give much love to ma boy), if you had one, let me know or give me a hint how i could get good loops even
on nasty sources
- My sanity facing the strange early 2000's racing sound system 😉
- I also took some inspiration from Forza Motorsport 7's Scaglietti, from the beginning i was planning on just using it, but it ended not being good
- It uses some real life samples of Backfire, but i want to get some others to make it more gorgeous
- This was made entirely on audacity, in the next project i will use other programs to mix and even create my loops from scratch
 
SHOWCASE:
 

I disliked erroneous Platinum pack Enzo FXX sound so i spent numerous hours learning and trying to make my sound mod. I based it on the sounds from the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFy17tL2NiQ The resulting sound is not stereo (i think the TDU1 needs mono). Also somehow the Audacity software which i have used was unable to amplify the volume of the imported .mp3 more without quality loss, thus the resulting quality is rubbish. Note also erroneous looping in high speed and RPM due to my soundtrack start and end is different (i am unsure if i will have energy to fix it and beside that also replace "default" sounds when gas pedal is not pushed, yet current state does not bother me and i think is better than Platinum sound). In this mod i only worked with 3 sound tracks for RPM where gas pedal is pushed, rest 3 when pedal is not pushed i left default for now. For each track i changed pitch (option in the Audacity - so the sound is different in various RPM - maybe not necessary or bad idea. One can change pitch and the speed. When changing speed, then one needs very long steady sound which may be problem to find on the internet. One may edit the sound manually, but it is too difficult and time consuming to return something good. Better to use long sound track and find part with steady RPM from beginning to the end. Nik Golič already written a tutorial on how to mod the sounds. https://turboduck.net/forums/topic/37088-tutorial-how-to-make-a-sound-mod-for-tdu/ and i also composed my own tutorial which i added to his topic. PS: if you dislike my work, i can send you original audio files so you make a better quality sound. This car really deserve it guys Actual .bnk file (last updated 5/16/2020) needs to be added to C:\Program Files (x86)\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Sound\Vehicules\ backing up original file is advised. Please note that this will overwrite surfer's island. I was able to generate a new island in my own game but I couldn’t replicate it for other users. So this map will temporary be placed at unfinished island.

Normal route:
Find "Euro" should be the folder after "mod-data"
Replace Euro in your tdu1's directory. Let it overwrite sector files.
 
Andraste route(if you have the mod manager installed)
Extract RAR into "mods" folder located in your TDU directory
 
How to install Bookmark?
Bookmark coordinates: Documents\Test Drive Unlimited\savegame\YourUsername\bookmark\bookmark.txt
Copy this:

Then paste it into your bookmark.txt. Make sure to keep the comma at the bottom of the list.

If you don't have a bookmark.txt. Go into the game and create a random bookmark by going into freedrive. Pause(p) bookmarks tab.

Sound mod for Toyota AE-86 Trueno.

This sound mod was based on Quadra Type-66 Avenger engine sound from Cyberpunk 2077.

This tool is very simple: You start it before starting the game (in a console) and it will print the (remaining) developer logging of the games (both TDU1 and TDU2).
Apparently this log is mostly targeted towards networking, but it never hurts to open it, when debugging weird issues.
