  1. Bleh, both me and my gf, and my band's guitarist and his gf broke up today... 9/11 must be jinxed for terribleness
  2. It's not that we don't want to see, it's that if you show/tell us you're breaking the law, and we won't allow it.
  3. Red Faction guerilla did something similar with its demo too. You are here, this is here *swooosh* can you still see here? Also, i've just realised, there's only been about 3 times where we've seen actual gameplay... 2 were shots (both from the eden playtest) and the other one was about 2 seconds from the E3 party... Kinda shocking really
  4. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001586911735#!/ScarredSaint?v=wall&story_fbid=431636002085&ref=mf thought you might like to hear one of our songs studio recorded :)

    1. Firstly, if you are in the beta, confirming anything would be in breach of the legally binding non-disclosure agreement you made with Atari, this will get your post deleted and you infracted, and potentially, you would get into legal trouble with Atari. If you do not download from Atari, then you are breaching copyright laws, and promoting piracy, something we do not take lightly here. this will also result in deleted posts and infractions. So basically, leave it there and be a good, helpful beta tester and help eden make a better game. :)
    2. There's a 50 percent chance that this strategy will involve ex-lax, because it's likely to be a torrent of poo :p on a serious note, I hope it's better, it couldn't be much worse... They should focus on what makes the game unique, videos have shown it's pretty, has some cool cars, is in a pretty place, does offroad tracks, has cops and that it has a social side... But TDU isn't a pretty game, compared to F1 2010 and GT5, it doesn't have as many cars, in as much detail as GT5, Driver is in a cool environment, Dirt 3 has offroad tracks, and it does them better, NFS: HP has better cops and the social side looks like the sims... It's showing the wrong side of the game in all honesty. TDU2 first and foremost, is massive, but this never has never been translated that well into trailers. It's not a racing game, it's a driver's paradise game. You choose your weapon, roll out of the drive, point your nose at the coolest looking road you see, then 'give 'er hell'. Very few people care about the fact the house is the most expensive in the game, they just care that it has 10 car slots and it's in a cool place... TDU is epic because it has so many environments in one. whether it's highway drives, mountain thrashes or b-road cruising that tickles your pickle, there's something for all, and it has the selection of cars to compliment that.
    3. Cayenne couldn't do that. Being good offroad is due to being designed to go offroad, and is not achieved by adding gismos to to an oversized car to justify a stupidly big school-run special having 4WD... Great, now I want that level of detail for offroad in TDU2... curses
    4. Happy Birthday TDU. Happy 'not giving a rat's backside'day Atari :)
    5. The sad thing is, Duke Nukem is probably going to be released before TDU2... It was announced that it'll be coming in 2011 with playable demos at PAX, AFAIK the only hands on demo in E3 was at the party, or behind closed doors
    6. M$ really gets on my nerves of late in how cheap they can be. For example, my xbox was bought at launch, and pretty much everything has gone wrong (2 RRODs and E74) so it's been back to them 3 times. Now recently my Disk Drive has been playing up, so I opened up the xbox to look at the problem... The lid of the drive said my Disk Drive was manufactured in... September 2005. That's right, they're so cheap that in the numerous times it went back they couldn't even bother to put a new drive in it, and now the 5 year old drive won't spin up unless I give it a hand to get started (people might recognise me going on about 'budget dj hero')
    7. Well, if you're trying to judge quality, there is a small work around, if you look at the top of a thread, you should see a few drop down boxes, and one is 'rate thread'. You can then rate it 1 to 5 stars depending on what you feel, and then the thread rating will show up in the list view of threads. (to show what I mean, i've rated this thread 3 stars...) So if you want to 'review' a mod, rate the thread it's in.
    8. Haha, the video is pretty good xD Personally i'd be happy if they solved the 'who is better' debate with a duel, where both of their pistols are rigged to blow themselves up.
    9. From what i've seen, the 'offroad' doesn't look quite like asphalt reskinned to look muddy (as people have said) IMO it looks more like a gravel stage in a rally, which I think will be done properly (Eden did V-Rally, they'll be able to pull off that sort of offroad fine) and as top gear showed, Soft roaders can handle that sort of terrain fine. Obviously the dirt roads aren't going to be true 'mud chugging jeep or nothing' because, well, then theywouldn't be roads would they? :p Although, thinking of it, they probably will be improving true offroad too, with the wrecks of cars exploration part, they will more than likely be promoting going wherever you feel like, and, given that the wrecks are something you will need to find if you want all the cars, they're probably going to make sure that exploring isn't a complete pain in the backside. Oh, and incase anyone thinks the wrecks will be easy to find and will require no real thought... is the Eden Island teleporter something you would have found if you someone else didn't tell you about it? :p
    10. Offtopic: I've been to that mountain board centre :p
    11. I reckon that offroading will probably be more like a rally than anything else. I'm sure supercars will be able to drive the roads, but unless you have AWD and a decent set of tyres for the task, you won't be going very far very fast, or in anything resembling a straight line. In TDU off road is basically one surface with the grip turned down, and it was all teh same surface, a beach behaved like a field, which behaved like the side of a mountain etc. I'm imagining that this time around they'll define these surfaces more, and give them parameters as to what characteristics a vehicle has. (at the moment nothing has any character off road, to see what i mean, try and follow a path on a golf course in a mustang then try it again in an RS4, the difference is pretty negligible)
    12. You should change the name of this section, put quotation marks around 'news' just as a bitchy message to atari :p You just have to look at the 'last updated' on my carlist to see that we haven't had anything worthwhile for 2 months...
    13. Name: Lewis Bike: Jinlun JL-125 (Off the road) Area: North East Wales Licence: CBT + theory
    14. Yesterday I went out to do a bit of shooting on 35mm film with my band. Me and the manager's dad are big advocates of analogue technology (it's perfect because of its imperfections!) The photos will be up soon (they're being developed now) and i'll be posting these up on the weekend methinks. I was just wondering, does anyone else still see the magic of shooting on film?
    15. errrrr... that's the weirdest analogy i've heard about a delay in my life xD any more contact with him?
    16. Ok, as i'm sure you'll know if you've ever played a PGR game, that you can walk around in your garage (you know, like we'll have in TDU) and in that garage there's a little easter egg, geometry wars, the brainchild of one of the developers as a side project. you find an arcade cabinet, you get to play one of the best arcade style games made in recent times. pretty neat. well, atari (unless i'm mistaken) has a rather impressive back collection of arcade games... imagine if Eden upped the ante by including a whole atari back-catalogue game room of arcade cabinets :p
