  1. Just a typical press release really, trying to make sure the reputation of the company isn't in danger and that any future sales aren't affected. Basically you come away from reading a press release about a car which had a failure and had a fairly dangerous crash thinking 'wow! that car is very well engineered, what a great company' :p Very impressed that they're rebuilding it using a lot of the same underpinnings.
  2. None of that really matters to me, yes it signifies that they're hoping to be in this for the long haul this time around but they've got so so so much to prove, they can't rely on brand reputation (which isn't exactly great if you take off the british-biased goggles) and until they've given us something remotely interesting there's just no point. So they sponsor a rugby team, woo, as of this moment the new TVR brand should be more aligned to rugby than actually making vehicles as that's all they've really done so far :p I want them to do well, but I just don't believe in the hype until they've given me something to judge first.
  3. Will there be a 991.2 911 GTS? 911 Targa GTS' are like my fav cars around atm, stunning things. That GT3 doesn't look all that different but I guess we should expect that. Interesting news on the F1 successor but I don't tend to trust Autocar as a source to be honest, It has every possibility of being accurate but i'm very skeptical about any of their 'rumour' articles like that.
  4. Looking forward to this, I don't think it'll be as close to the old TG as I was hoping, they're going to shake it up a fair bit it seems. Still, I hope the humour shows first of all.
  5. Looks to be in rather good condition, a lot of those kinda vehicles tend to be quite well 'used' haha, I really like it :hmmm:
  6. I don't see the problem? They're having fun and it's doing no harm is it? :p
  7. I think Scott might be more accurate by saying it is weather related, the weather here really has been crazy for the past month and the 4C is renown for being very hands on so maybe it is that. Wonder if he'll replace it with another, even though he is a tool I do love the sound of it going by every now and then.
  8. That blue M3, with those wheels, with brown leather would be an absolutely stunning car
  9. This guy has been driving around my road etc for the past month or two like a tool, so it was rather funny to see this parked at the mechanics earlier.... Sorry for the crap photos, the dog had other ideas as to what she wanted to be doing at that moment
  10. Some good points :hmmm: How would your top 10 go then, Robik? :)
  11. Yeah it's fugly and far from ideal but I'm not too bothered tbh, I quite like the way Formula 1 tests things that might not necessarily be aesthetically pleasing: Hopefully over years they'll morph it into something more elegant.
  12. Judging by current voting patterns he's most likely not going to win so I agree maybe just let this one slide :p FGS Scott:
  13. I think the Murcielago is on the same level as the F50 and EB110 for being iconic and important for the time. What cars were around in 2001? The Murcielago was amazing at the time.
  14. I agree about the LaFerrari I was rather surprised it was there, it feels like more people getting caught up with the hype surrounding the car than it actually being iconic, I'd think the Carrera GT is a more worthy 'hypercar', as is the Veyron like Scott said. The LaFerrari hasn't been around long enough to be deemed iconic just yet imo.
  15. But someone will have eventually found that body anyway, and those thieves will have stolen from someone eventually anyway..... Yes I get that maybe the game might be increasing the odds of that someone being you but I don't think it's increasing them that much when you look at just how many people play it. I dunno, the world sucks, I understand where you're coming from but I really don't think it's a worthy criticism of the game? As with everything in life, if you use just an ounce of common sense, and do things in moderation, then 99.9999999% of the time, things will be absolutely fine.
  16. Or helicopter  I still think the issue of range when it comes to cars you are driven in, albeit a Limo or Taxi etc, is yet to be solved. Tesla Superchargers might be quick, but If i were wealthy, snobby, busy and stressed about deadlines there's no way I'd put myself in a situation where I had to sit in the back of a stationary Tesla or whatever for 30 mins +.
  17. Yeah true, if they had a process in which you could blacklist your property from being involved in the game it might solve a bit of this. I'm sure there are enough places in the world for them to continue with the game in un-blacklisted places.
  18. :hiya: Again. The organisers of this year’s Fast Car Festival at Donnington Park commissioned a Survey into the top 10 most iconic supercars of all time and came up with this list: 10. Jaguar XJ220 9. Audi R8 8. Ferrari Enzo 7. Pagani Zonda 6. Porsche 911 5. Koenigsegg (doesn't specify which one) 4. Mclaren F1 3. Ferrari LaFerrari 2. Alfa Romeo 8C 1. Ferrari F40 I'm not sure I agree with some of this list, there are some random ones like the 8C, and cars like the Miura are missing in action. What would your top 10 list be? :)
  19. Yeah definitely stay OEM :nods:
  20. Yeah ultimately I just want them to be as fast as possible. Didn't Brundle mention that early signs are that the 2017 design will be over 3 seconds a lap faster? I'm skeptical as to whether this will materialise but it does sound rather exciting. If they're working on the noise too then definitely bring on 2017.
  21. True, but there is also the issue of drivers being coached around the track, sometimes it does go way too far in when they're being told to brake etc. They banned it all rather than trying to find a balance, due to that I think the only way is to go back to everything being allowed, I think they've ruined the chances of finding a balance.
  22. The Bentley Bentayga's wire harness. I hope British(?) electronics are more reliable and long-lasting than in previous decades...
  23. Now they've announced they're not going to fight the penalty. Wonder what made them change their mind....? The cynic in me makes me think they never intended to appeal at all and just said they might to act really annoyed/offended by the penalty, when they were just rather happy Rosberg only lost 3 points instead of a DNF. Something has to change, as now teams will just be giving orders once they know they're 10 seconds down the road of the car behind. All it takes is one team to undermine the rule, and the punishment to not actually punish them and we'll be stuck in catch 22
  24. I really don't agree with you on this one. If you have 100,000,000 (hypothetical here) people playing your game of course there will be people who end up doing something stupid but is that the games fault? If you walk in front of a bus because you're looking at your phone, or you go down a dark alley at 2am and something happens, is it Nintendo's fault? At the end of the day, statistically a fair few of that 100m might die or whatever during that day anyway, I don't think the game should be criticised because of it. If it's making people exercise and is getting people that might have otherwise been quite reclusive out of the house, is it not a great thing?
  25. :hiya: Suddenly, it's a Pokemon Go world, and we're just living in it - Chicago Tribune Nintendo leaps 25% on Pokemon Go but the hurdle to killer profits is high - CNBC Pokemon GO's Already Capturing Minds — And Money - Bloomberg Are you Catching 'Em All? Pokemon GO is taking the world by storm. It is in so many news headlines, it is causing record share increases at Nintendo and it isn't even released in most countries just yet, most of all Japan?! It seems like an absolutely amazing idea, it is getting people up off of their Office Chair and out into the world trying to discover Pokémon. It is making people exercise and meet new people and it also seems quite fun at the same time? Yes there are going to be downsides, you'll hear of people getting into trouble or whatever as a result of the game but I don't think they're worth taking note of just yet. - It already has more active users than Tinder - It is close to reaching Twitter's figure of daily active users too Will you be playing it once it hits your market? Will you be ordering an Ash costume from amazon? Will you be calling your girlfriend Misty in the bedroom?
