  1. Apparently, there are a lot more left to be seen in GT Sport. Which sort of backs up what i have been saying, about media badly judging a game that's not final, as a final version.

GT Sport Online Experience is around of 15% of total game - GT Planet

At the end of the day, if the game is being badly judged by the media due to 85% of the game not yet being unveiled, whose fault is that? Obviously some of it lies with the media but i'd say most of the blame is Polyphony's.

This isn't their first rodeo, they aren't the new boy on the block, they seem to be handling the release of this game like a complete amateur, they're being correctly criticised for it.

  2. This really caught my eye yesterday, it's not as if Infiniti have a long history, they weren't around when these cars were being produced, but ignoring that this concept is stunning and I hope they make a few non-road legal models for people to collect:

It has an electric 148bhp powertrain, which is decent considering the size and weight of the thing. It'll be formally unveiled at Pebble Beach.

  3. Overall not as boring a race as it could have been, it could have easily been memorable for being the worst race but having the top 4 so close to each other after 70 laps is always good entertainment.

Did anyone see Toto Wolff's reaction to Hammy letting Bottas back into third? It was very over the top, you can read a lot into that reaction and whether he thought Hammy would do it or not

  4. I am 98% sure that they didn't show anything of the real campaing yet. Those are just the events, not the actual races, like FF championship, or FR Challange, etc.

One thing is sure though, this is the best looking car game of PS4, and i dare to say, best looking car game ever so far.

The main thing I got from these videos is that they seem to have forgotten to make the stands at the tracks realistic, everything else seems absolutely stunning and uber realistic, but the grandstands are so bright and have such faint shadows etc, it takes away from the realism a bit. Check the second video especially to see if you agree with me.

  5. No stress matey... I do feel for you. A lot of Hamilton fans (actually the vast majority) can be proper douches... A lot of them don't even know what F1 is.

Didn't manage to catch the race today and I made the mistake of going of Facebook so it all got spoiled for me.

How did Alonso get on this time?

    DNF of course.

    Honda need to disappear quickly.

  6. Vettel wasn't the only one calling foul play

    Onto the bandwagon you go.

This was a repeat of Russia too little too late for vettel unfortunately.

There is a certain sense of irony though when you take into account his behaviour in Baku, but yeah, Ricciardo was also complaining about it. If I were Bottas i'd be a bit annoyed, it looked like the most perfect start allowed and everyone was still saying he jumped it at the end of the race even after race control gave it the thumbs up

We're approaching half way through the season, so the discussion will quickly become dominated by who is getting what seat next year. Should be an interesting one until McLaren let people know what they're doing with their engines next year.

  7. 'We're not going to give Vettel any further punishment for being a giant vagina because we want the championship to be decided on the track!'

'Oh, you changed your gearbox? are you crazy!? 5 PLACE GRID PENALTY!'

The latter thing is indiscriminate, not calling foul play againt HAM, I just think it underlines what a joke F1 is at the moment. Brundle has been complaining about these unnecessary penalties for a while now.

  8. How much value would you say is in that pic with those two?

Surprising little for the 250 GT Lusso at the back, a silver example (perhaps the very same one) went up for auction at the Goodwood Revival in 2015 with an estimate between £1.4m - 1.8m, but is most likely worth over £2m nowadays. Considering it is probably the most elegant Ferrari ever designed, has the V12, and has the 250 name, I think that's a bit of a bargain and will be worth 8 figures or more very soon.

That Ferrari 250 GTO appears to be chassis number 4153gt which has quite a past.... it won the Tour De France Automobile in 1964 with Lucien Bianchi behind the wheel. He was Jules Bianchi's Grand-Uncle, and unfortunately they both died due to injuries sustained while racing. You can find more information on the car here: Ferrari 250 GTO - The Autobigraphy of 4153 GT

I can't find any information about 4153GT ever being sold or how much it'd be worth, but considering the racing heritage it has, I'd imagine it'd go for over £25-30m in today's market. Chassis 5111GT sold for £30m-ish in 2013, and with the exponential price inflation on 250 GTOs, I imagine this is worth more now, even if it isn't in Rosso Corsa.

That said, I do tend to watch a lot of the big classic auctions when I get the time, and the market doesn't seem to be very buoyant at the moment, It probably isn't the best time to be putting something to valuable up for sale.

  9. New automotive podcast out by some US comedian guy who buys cars for Seinfeld, it was featured on TST's podcast a few weeks ago, I've listened to the first 3 podcasts and they're pretty decent, he tends to talk over people/interrupt them which is a bit annoying but other than that it's worth listening to if you're looking for another automotive podcast. It's called Spike's Car Radio.

  10. I think that might be my favourite spec McLaren P1, can you get orange coloured exposed carbon? That would make it even better, other than that I wouldn't change a thing.

Saw a yellow Esprit today, still a head-turned after all these years, wonder if they'll be worth high 6 figures one day?

Saw a Porsche 959 on the road last night but didn't have a chance to get a picture as I was driving, they're crazy expensive so it could have been a replica? Never heard of 959 replicas though, or seen any, it was in a very posh area so it might have been legit.

  11. A f12 owner told me that he couldn't afford his car at the moment he got it if he would've went for a more exotic spec, as he wanted it dark blue

I can believe that, was it paint-to-sample it was it a dark blue Ferrari already offer, they just offer it for a considerable amount more money? I think they're as bad as Porsche when it comes to limiting the amount of each colour that gets produced, meaning if you want one of the rarer colours you must have to pay through your teeth for it.

I'd be interesting in knowing the genuine prices for the MSO alterations you can get on a McLaren, I can't see them being as huge as Ferrari but they can't be cheap either. Once the second hand market starts being kinder to McLarens I can see the MSO pricing increasing though.
