CarMadMike reacted to Ryzza5 in McLaren Chief Test Driver on digital recreation of 720S
Last week I might have agreed with you, but I did a couple of races on Monday night with the gamepad and I have to admit it really is very different, not like any sim I've played before. The RWD car I chose easily drifts and can be controlled right on the edge and a fair bit beyond. It's almost Forza-esque, but just not as crazy, and any input filtering was much more subtle. I reckon a few will be surprised this time around - I certainly was.

Interesting little story here from SMS and McLaren at some recent exhibition
SMS have previously mentioned that as part of their car license negotiations, they request the time of chief test drivers from the various manufacturers to help ensure an accurate simulation, which from the video above at least, seems to be a worthwhile endeavour.
What do you guys think of this - are you genuinely excited/intrigued/mildly interested or do you think it's just marketing hype?

CarMadMike reacted to Rassva in Forza Horizon 3 {DT} - Coming from a land down under and onto Windows 10 (KEEP LEFT!)
I couldn't afford the tracks lol, actually still can't. Tbh, I'm not a big fan of this expansion, but I appreciate it, if the performance is improved, as they claim, I will buy it just to support them, did the same with the Porsche dlc.

Stop being so 'salty' Scott, jeez.
I can't say the hotwheels expansion pack interests me much, even when I was young I enjoyed collecting hundreds of hotwheels cars but the tracks and accessories never interested me at all.

What if the pictures are in reverse order and the other cars just caught up to it really fast?

Can't believe I missed the big 10! That's almost like a decade old, right?
Got this place to thank for many, many good memories and some truly awesome people over the last 10 years. Glad to see the name changes still going strong as I have no idea who some people are.
Hope everyone is still doing well. :)

I was going to config my own 812 Superfast but there was no point, other than perhaps toning down the blue in the interior a bit I don't think i'd change anything on F12's configuration, that thing is stunning.

Well, I love her
P.S. It may seem weird to have red (with additional carbon) steering wheel but I like it :P
Blu Swaters also suits 812 perfectly!

He's made a statement about it on drivetribe, doesn't sound as if it was that serious but I guess you can't be too safe considering how lucky he's been.

Went for a more tasteful configuration on this, 90% of the options are making the car less track-focused and more of a daily driver, which kind of shows I doubt i'd get a GT3 if I happened to be shopping for a porsche rn.

Absolutely crazy amounts of options on this Panamera 4S, probably more expensive than the options on the McLaren above :leaves:

CarMadMike got a reaction from Milli in Your Automotive Web History: Where do you browse?
I'm just not sure i'll ever warm to someone who has their nickname embroidered on every single piece of clothing they own. I'm sure he's an alright guy but I just think his content isn't worth watching for a few reasons. A lot of it comes down to how he and a few other vloggers act as if they're really providing an amazing life changing experience to viewers, 'this is for you' etc, it's not, you're getting rich off of it, don't sugar coat it.
Also worth looking at is exactly what @Milli was highlighting in the chatbox a few days back, there are a few suspicious things surrounding the Hurucan Superformante 'ring lap time: BLOG: Did Lambo that laptime? | BridgeToGantry.com

CarMadMike got a reaction from Milli in Salon de TDUCK: New Car Releases
Agreed. The physical switches on the touchscreen are a fantastic idea, very similar to the way people have physical dials on digital speedometers in some cars. The combination of digital and physical is much better as you then avoid the tacky awfulness that is the interior of any Tesla. I've been very underwhelmed by the interior design of Land Rovers and Range Rovers recently, although the build quality is top notch I just think they've lagged behind in updating anything, this is a huge step in the right direction.
The thing about the Velar is that no one has used the word concept and that it is meant to go on sale this summer, so I presume everything we've seen (including the inset door handles) will be going on the final production version, fingers crossed.

Bit unnecessary but that's exactly what you want on a supercar :nods: Nice.
Here are shots of the new RR Velar:

So this is Range Rover's F-Pace, bigger than the Evoque but smaller than the RR Sport. I think i'd take it over either.

:panic:
This looks amazing. Bloomberg have accidentally broken the embargo on the new 720s not due to be broken until next week.
It looks properly special from this angle. I'm unsure i'll like the front headlights but I don't think they'll be enough to ruin the car for me.
