  2. Basically what he was trying to say is before we stopped NoTW people where being stupid on purpose just so they could be a Nugget and it all started to get stupid tbh an that was one of the reasons why it was stopped. There was talk of bringing it back a while ago but if it does come back it all depends on how people act to how long it will stay.
  3. I have returned and see you got bored with the tumbleweeds after 1 day :cheeky: Well I spose I am a bit lucky but then I work for it none of its given. But now I've got Jimmy Carr again in 2 weeks for a mates birthday, then a comedy gig with 4 comedians, then Rob Brydon, then either a week in Greece or Cyprus at the end of September for my birthday depending what one we book this week. And if you want a holiday where the food is the nuts and is heap with good beaches go to Bulgaria its the nuts

  8. Some of your Xbox LIVE Tenure questions answered One of the features we shipped with the latest Xbox 360 dashboard update today is what we call Tenure. This is a number that appears when you are looking at Gamercards on your Xbox 360 console. It’s the number 5 you see at the top right of my gamercard above. This number will show how many years someone has been an Xbox LIVE Gold Member. Working with the team here, we’ve put together some answers to some of the frequent questions that we’ve seen in the Xbox forums. Q. My tenure is not displaying at all! A. The Gold Tenure is being rolled out to all Xbox LIVE users over the next few days. By next week, everyone who has at least 1 full year in Xbox LIVE Gold status will see their tenure. Q. My tenure is exactly one year off. Why is that? A. If you were a member of the Summer Update Preview and created your Gold Account on an Original Xbox console while living in Canada, your tenure won't update to the proper number of years until your account's next "birthday". For example; if you created your account on October 19th of 2003, your Gold Tenure will display properly on October 19th of 2009. Q. I changed my gamertag 2 years ago because I didn't like it. Will that reset my tenure? A. Changing your gamertag won't change your tenure, just like it doesn't change your gamerscore. Q. I've been a member of Xbox LIVE since it began! I should have 7 years because it's 2009. A. The very first gamertag, e, was created on 8/13/2002. e, as he is known both online and in real life, will turn 7 on 8/13/2009. Q. My account was in Silver status for awhile, how does that affect my tenure? A. All the time you spend in Gold is cumulative and any time you spend in silver doesn't count. For example if you created a gamertag on August 4th of 2007 but didn't upgrade it to gold until February 14th of 2008; today the Gold Tenure would be 1 year because the account spent 6 months of it's first year in Silver status. Q. The article online says that if I had a 14 day break in my Gold account status, my tenure would reset! Is that true? A. There is no "14 day gap in service" rule anymore. This was the original way tenure was calculated but we changed it. The KB article will be updated soon. Q. I've been a member since 2006, why does my tenure only show a 2 when 2006 was 3 years ago? A. Your Gold Veteran Status counts full years so if you've been a Gold member for 2 years, 11 months and 27 days; your status will display 2 years. Q. The date in on the account details page on xbox.com says I've only been a Gold member for a couple months. When is that going to be updated? A. The "Member Since" date that you see in the Account Management section on xbox.com and on your console is not the same as your tenure. That is the last time your profile was upgraded to gold (like the last time it auto-renewed or you applied a subscription code). Q. Where can I go to see exactly when I paid for my Gold account? A. You can login to Billing and Account Management to view your payment history. That will show you exactly when you were Gold vs. Silver. You'll need to login with the Windows Live ID associated with the GamerTag. (Click on your payment type and you'll be able to see your payment history). I hope this answers some of the questions you may have had. If you have any more, post them in the comments and I can update this post as needed. From Major Nelson

Good idea, this will put the word out even more about TDUc and get more lurkers and members. Its also a good way to post stuff to members that doesn't deserve a post as its to short or get lost in the chatbox. Personally I don't really use twitter only go on to read a few peoples tweets, like Jimmy Carr and Stephen Fry. Jimmy shows what he's doing in pics alot and shows museums where he is doing his shows etc and stephen fry posts random facts and links to interesting stuff. All the rest normally just commontate on the cricket and stuff or post pointless stuff like "getting a drink" or "watching so and so" which I couldn't really care about, as whats the point in following someones elses life when you can get on with your own. Still good use of publicity for tduc, whats next a facebook???
  11. Theres a sticky thread here http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=12541 and then another thread about preview progam here http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=12620

  13. Theres an airstrip in Switzland that does exactly the same, but its not a highway on a normal 2 lane road. It was on one of Clarksons programs (Motorworld iirc) and he has to stop at a crossing while a Tornado or something lands as its a military base iirc.
  14. Rock your Avatar in Guitar Hero 5 Earlier today, Activision announced that you can use your Xbox avatar as a playable character in game. If you want a preview of what this will look like, download the special GH 5 trailer from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. In the trailer, you’ll Xbox’s own Don Mattrick, Shane Kim, Phil Spencer and Marc Whitten take their Avatars from mild-mannered video game geeks to glam-rockin’ metalheads and “Shout It Out Loud” with a Redmond rendition of KISS. I am sure If there was a way to have your avatar as a roadie, that’s where you’d find mine with this band. Listen to my weekly podcast when I post it this Sunday, where I’ll have the Guitar Hero 5 producer on to discuss how this avatar integration will work. Add this Guitar Hero 5 video with the Xbox team to your Xbox 360 download queue Source

If you haven’t signed up yet, you are still in luck – we are is still taking additional signups. You can do read more about the program on my blog, or on Xbox.com. 18. Preview Program Emails are being sent out We’re in the process of sending notification emails out to the first group of people for the Xbox LIVE Update Preview Program. Please check your email (and spam folder…just in case) to see if you were selected. If we stay on schedule, those selected should receive a prompt to accept the update later today/tonight. We’ll be sending another wave of notifications later this week, but we are holding registration open a bit longer to make sure everyone has a chance to participate. If you signed up but did not receive a mail yet, please head over to the connect site and review your information to make sure it is correct. I am being told that there are quite a few people did not properly complete the survey. If this is the first you are reading about the Preview Program, go ahead and sign up and you may be chosen to participate before the update is released on August 11th. Update: Sign in to the connect site to see if you are accepted, since many of you did not opt-in to allow us to send you emails, or your email was not properly record in the system.
  19. Sort of. When it 1st come out I loved it. It got a bit boring then I got XBL and then had a brilliant year to year and a half with the usual suspects but after doing the same roads and coastal run it did get a bit boring. Good game to come back to now and then if you want to thrash a car about or socialise and cruise about now and then but not a game I would go on all thetime now unfortunately. Lets hope TDU2 brings some good stuff and possibly a second Island as after exploring the newer roads if theres no new island it will get boring quicker than this one did.
  20. To answer you question the is a double Decker in the game and a few coaches, I'll find the links later ;) BTW could you start a new topic or use the ETS chat thread next time please :)

  25. More info from the BBC with email add: Top Gear star to build Lego house James May plans to live in the Lego house for a weekend Top Gear presenter James May is looking for volunteers to help him build a new house in Surrey - made entirely out of Lego bricks. As part of his BBC series James May's Toy Stories, he plans to build a two-storey house in the middle of the Denbies Wine Estate, in Dorking. More than three million Lego bricks have been delivered to the site. May will host a building day next Saturday, when members of the public can help him with the project. The house will be life-size with a staircase, toilet and shower, and May said once it was completed he intended to live in it for a few days. Appeal for bricks He said although the house would be temporary, there had still been various "planning hoops" to leap through. "I've got a man working on a flushing Lego lavatory. We think it's possible. "Things like power supply, sanitation and plumbing coming into the house are as they could be for a real building... everything within my Lego house must as far as possible be Lego," he said. May said although he already had thousands of Lego bricks, he could not be sure there would be enough. "So if people do have bricks that aren't being used that they would be happy to donate to a very worthy pioneering Lego cause, then we'll be happy to take them off your hands." The event follows two other successful toy challenges which saw May build what was said to be the world's first Plasticine garden, which won the People's Choice Award at the Chelsea Flower Show, and also the world's largest model plane. Anyone interested in taking part in the Lego house build, or who has Lego bricks to donate, should e-mail [email protected] Two months ago James May built a garden out of plasticine Source
