  1. Sorry Balto, just had to ask Speedtouch: How much is fuel there? 92 Octane here is $2.10 to $2.20-ish. As for insurance, I have no idea how much it is here cos i never bothered to find out, but premiums are apparently sky high because a lot of drivers have wildly exaggerated their injury claims in an accident . Oh, and our tax system is really annoying. Road tax is based off your car's engine displacement, so my dad's 2.4l Mitsubishi Grandis' tax is $990 for half a year. In addition to that, other taxes have to be paid when actually buying the car, which roughly equates to about 120% the actual price of the car PLUS another 15-20k for another special tax... Sorry, I just HAD to rant to de-stress after the French GP... :p
  2. Disaster! The biased (IMO) stewards penalised Hamilton! I reckon he could have managed a possible 5th or so had that not happened...
  3. I made the mistake of spending too much time here last year... Had a relatively disastrous final exam... :( If you're panicking about how well you do/did, you're probably fine, cos my teacher always says that these sort of students will be so paranoid that they'll double- and triple-check every single thing and end up acing it. Assuming that you studied of course ;)
  4. Yup. The 1.8 is 77.5k, and the Type-R (Euro version) is 103k, $3000 more than the Focus ST
  5. Stop complaining. When it comes to car prices, you just can't beat Singapore. A W124 Mercedes 200E for example would cost 15k - 20k depending on the year. An early '90s Honda Civic ESi 1.6 is around 10k - 15k. A brand new car, such as a new Suzuki Swift 1.3 is just under 50k. You don't know how lucky you are to be able to get your own car when you get your license. Almost everyone here (bar the rich people) have to drive their parent's car for the first few years
  6. THAT'S what the R35 should have been like right from the start! *edit* 911 posts!
  7. Still undecided, but this time over 2 completely different pics: http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/Test%20Drive%20Unlimited/20080622002806.jpg or http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/Test%20Drive%20Unlimited/20080622001945edit.jpg And don't worry, I deleted the previous 2 from my first post *EDIT* Ok, I've decided to enter the first one as my final entry
  8. BMWs looked quite slow here, and was a shame that Kovaleinen couldn't pull off a faster time. Hats off to Alonso though, making that dog of a car achieve 3rd fastest...
  9. Why only 6 episodes? That's the same length as Series 9, just after Richard had his big accident, and I assumed they shortened that season because of it... :(
  10. Andreaz's vids work fine... Anyway could anyone tell me which country the white cars with red and blue diagonal stripes belong to?
  11. Lucky you! Have fun! With any luck my school will be organising a trip to Russia in November... Keeping my fingers crossed
  12. It's all to do with the sponsor, see http://wot.motortrend.com/6237478/miscellaneous/real-godzillas-wear-donut-king-pink/index.html
  13. Very tough decision :( I like the XF's design better as a whole, but I just cannot stand those front headlights! :bananamad: And the SV8 has crap rims... On the other hand, the idea of an "old-man's car" being able to surprise ricers at the lights really draws me to the XJR. It's so much stealthier than the German super saloons. And looks the sex in black with 20" Sepang alloys. But I just cannot stand the facelift's bumper! Looks like a fat man's chin! So after a lengthy internal debate, I'll take this A pre-facelift one with those Sepang alloys. Plus, I'll have some money left over to buy something else! :D
  14. [off-topic] Speaking of the new GT-R, check out what I found:
  15. @ KTF's and Balto's argument
  16. [/off-topic] The Puma does look like a surprisingly neat car... But of all those you listed, i'd pick the SP2 and plonk some nice wheels on it. [off-topic] And Baldred, was your first car a Clio or a Clio V6?
  17. Has everyone forgotten the most sinful one of all? AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! MY EYES!!!!! And the 2nd worst offender (only because it's available in pink. otherwise it'd alright-ish): And ladies could never drive a Lotus Elise or Ariel Atom... Well those wearing skirts anyway...
  18. It works fine for me :oook: Anyway, i changed the pic
  19. Just watched Fifth Gear's 10 favourite Ferraris video on Youtube, and I just had to ask (before DriftNismo thought of it anyway): What's your 5 favourites from this proud, evocative Italian car maker? (Either road or track models) My five: 1. 355 GTS 2. 288 GTO 3. Dino 246 GTS 4. F50 http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/TorqueOmata1418.jpg 5. 365 GTS/4 "Daytona" Spyder
  20. Are you really sure you wouldn't want something sensible and reliable and modern like something Japanese? Or at least something a bit less classic? I'd imagine the insurance on either of those to be exorbitant...
  21. Or could this be the Toyota FT-HS? Just clutching at straws really... I really don't want the NSX to be front engined...
  22. Are you absolutely sure that's the new NSX and not the Lexus LF-A? Especially with those IS-F-ish tailpipes...
  23. Saw a Bentley Arnage (VERY chrome wheels) and a very lowered Porsche Cayman S with black rims
