  1. Maybe I should play Fallout 3... then I might join in the hype. It does look very interesting though.
  2. *tumbleweed* Does anybody in the Turbo Duck crew actually play this? I play regularly with 2 other people, but we need a 3rd to do some heist and make some MOOOONNEEEEEEY!
  3. Your fear valve just doesn't work! There were a few corners I went round thinking "Oh, that was a bit ambitious" only for me to look in my mirror a few seconds later and seeing your bus understeering across the road!
  4. I think I still have this on a shelf somewhere at my parents' farmhouse. I'll be there on Saturday.
  5. I found the times interesting though. My first 60 feet were already a second quicker than yours, my overall quarter mile time was a second quicker, but you were hitting a top speed of 10mph more than me! Basically, it seems the Audi gets off the line quicker, but once that Lexus finally gets moving it just pulls like a train.
  6. Yeah, but I can go round corners without impersonating a boat. Following you back was hilarious! Also, rolling shot just because! paint.net just happened.
  7. Today, I ended up drag-racing Calster's Lexbus. I also won every single time.* :D *because it was wet and he was struggling to get the power down. Hell, I just noticed I got slower as the track dried up!
  8. So the car is finally all sorted (it got its MOT about a month ago but there were some other small things). I paid the garage bill yesterday and picked it up with 2 new track rod ends and an alignment, then had to drive up to Inverness so my sister could pick up a new car (a 2013 Fiat Panda 1.2, booooring). OMG I love my car again. The steering feels sublime! I also added a couple of vinyls about a fortnight ago.
  9. I thought I'd start a new thread for the sake of cleanliness. Everybody post in here what version of the game you're playing on (Xbox360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, or PC) and your username on the Rockstar Games Social Club. I'll start. PC - SupernautBB Add me and we can go for a cruise in my chrome insurgent! I'm a reasonably high level because I had it on Xbox 360 previously and transferred my character over. :D
  10. Yeah that was amusing. :D What's everybody's steam names? Or just add me. Look in my post up above to get the info. :P
  11. Balls! I evidently didn't look through the forums hard enough. :o I'm loving this game though, it's right up my street. Rusty old V8 monsters on dirt tracks are so much more fun! I'd post a topic about Carmageddon Reincarnation too, but I know this forum has some younger members, so maybe not.
  12. Next Car Game: Wreckfest Steam Store Page Developer's Blog This game is still in early access, yes... but what a game! It's being developed by BugBear, the guys who brought us the Flat Out series of games. This time round, they're returning to the roots of the first Flat Out game. Big old muscle cars (and some other smaller cars too) on crazy dirt tracks, with lots of carnage and awesome damage modelling. The physics are on the realistic side of arcade, I'd say, but it really makes you feel like the cars have some weight behind them. The amount of things going on at any one time is astonishing, body panels everywhere, and if you smash into a tyre wall, every individual tyre ends up on the track and getting bounced around by the other cars. I play on cockpit and find myself cringing when a car in front hits a tyre wall and sends them flying towards my windscreen (or what's left of it). Fence posts are even scarier though! The engine sounds really are brilliant too. Big old V8s coughing and farting flames from the exhausts on gear changes! They've really got it nailed down, even this early in development. I was playing a 21-player multiplayer lobby on the figure-8 track the other day. I've not laughed so hard in ages! :D To sum this game up, it's carnage in a good way! If you want to add me on steam, go ahead: Supernaut - my avatar is a cartoon skull and crossbones on a red circle and black background. Discuss!
  13. When I bought my GTX 970 about a month or so ago, I got the option of one of three free games. I haven't picked one yet. The choices were The Crew, Far Cry 4 and some Assassin's Creed game. From what I've seen, they're all complete dross. Is The Crew worth it for free? I'm really not feeling it from the feedback in this thread, especially about the physics. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's a driving game with bad physics.
  14. I'm just saying in advance that I'll be on the PC version once it's out. I'm Supernaut on steam, so add me if you want. I know there are lots of Supernauts on steam, my avatar is a cartoon skull and crossbones on a red background.
  15. It's back on the road now, with a fresh MOT, a year's tax, and a year's insurance. I'm glad it's almost pay day! This weekend I'll do an oil change and swap it to the summer wheels again (the 17" 10-spokes in gunmetal grey).
  16. This, a thousand times this. My old 306s (I had two of them!) were far cheaper to keep on the road than the Audi. I still find myself considering getting a simple hot hatch to replace the Audi, but I've sunk so much money into this car I want to be the last owner of it before it dies!
  17. Well, I got the front left suspension arm done myself, and I've thrown the car and the box of parts at the garage for the rest. My bank account is puckered in preparation, but it'll still be cheaper than a replacement car!
  18. That's not even close! I'm really bad at coming here regularly... Latest news: The Snotmobile failed its MOT last week. I now have £250 worth of suspension parts sitting under my desk at work. - Left front suspension arm - Right front suspension arm - Right track rod end - Both rear springs (although only one was a failure item) - Both front brake flexi hoses (these were only an advisory though) The garage wanted about £600 all-in, including labour. I could afford that, but I want to at least try doing it myself. This weekend I'll be at the parents' farm with an angle grinder, some big hammers, and lots and lots of swearing. I'M NOT LETTING IT DIE! NOT QUITE YET! If I can get another year out of it, I'll have enough saved up to buy a car with a 4-figure price starting with a 2! Wooooo! I like the look of Subaru Legacys though. Whatever generation was being made in 2005. Mainly because my parents have a 2005 Outback, and it's lovely to drive. I can only imagine how tight it feels on non off-road suspension. :D
  19. Well, I need some more people to do heists with. I'm on Xbox 360, under the handle SupernautBB
  20. It's had the winter wheels on for a week or two now. The tyres are Michelin Primacy Alpins. Should do the trick with the quattro. :D
  21. I joined Calster and some other people for a drive on Sunday...
  22. Oh, now I have to join in! Edit: Here's Cal cresting the top of Glen Shee.
  23. So, me and Calster went for a drive yesterday... That Focus ST on the left was a bit mad. 300bhp and the loudest exhaust system of EVAR. Oh yeah, and as you can see, he took the Cappo. It was only insured and taxed on Friday! I also got a passenger ride in it around the centre of Aberdeen. It's hilariously small. :D Ah yes. here's a close-up of my grille. I painted it matte black with the 4 rings in gunmetal grey.
