  1. U wot?

    Me what.

His win was kinda gifted to him on a plate. No Mercs to win the race, Ferrari weren't all that fast(Did Kimi even make 1 attempt to get along side/pass him?) and RB screwed Ricciardo over with the strategy and then he got a puncture. All Verstappen had to do was drive around the track and not fall off of it. You know, like Hamilton and Rosberg do but you give them crap for it all the time.

It's great for Verstappen and I'm happy for him. It's a day he and his family will never forget. Was also a good race on a track where races can be quite dull to watch a lot of the time.

  2. I've been trying to think of a game that I could post in this thread other than the obvious TDU. But I can't.

At the time it was the perfect game for me, and probably still is. Had so much fun on TDU and met some truly great people, and some truly awful people too. I still have vivid memories of the game. Like Diablo in his dark coloured (blue?) Audi S6 that had incredible brakes making me crash into the back of him as he turned off onto a side road before a tunnel whilst listening to Capital FM.

But it was the Gran Turismo series that got me into racing games before Forza took over and took it to another level for me. :nods:

And then there's the old Colin McRae games, loved them! Even though I was dreadful at them.

And Toca. Loved Toca 3. Lawnmower racing anyone?

  3. It was indeed a great day of racing as always. But as usual I didn't get to see all of the races due to them being spread over 6 hours. Nothing can keep my attention for that long!

More often than not the younger racers show up the older, "more mature" BTCC racers imo. Not necessarily more skill but they are usually more tactful how they go about things both in the car and out of the car. Maybe it's because they're trying to impress to get sponsorship or another seat or maybe they're just not as hot headed yet. :hmmm:

Hoping to make it over to Cheshire for Oulton park and Silverstone later in the year. :nods:

  4. But at the end of the day it's a FIAT. :cheeky:

Rest assured I won't be putting a bean can on the back or tacky alloys or stupid stickers or blare generic music(or any music for that matter) or cheap coilovers or have a job related to oil. :hmmm:

  5. Jesus...

Have they swapped Dunlops for Pirellis? 4 front left punctures in the space of 2 laps. Neal tried to get back into the pits and hit/got hit by an MG causing a rather large crash on the start finish straight! Red flagged.

    Unbelievable Geoff.

  6.

It is indeed a cracking car and one of, if not the best car you can get for the money. It is a fairly popular car yes but I haven't seen that many of them about. Most of the people I've seen driving them are 30+ mainly due to the cost or the odd 17 year old who used the bank of mummy and daddy and will more than likely ruin the car.

But yea, it is Scottish and Glasgowish. :(

Still can't believe I'm getting 35mpg from it with my blasting around the country roads going whoooosh at every opportunity.

  7. The sounds can be improved in BF4 by choosing the battle/war tapes sound setting on the options somewhere. Sounds brilliant through my amp and not too shabby through my TV.

I honestly can't say that there are any bugs in BF4 that I've encountered for a long time other than lag and no matter how good the netcode is, lag cannot be removed. It can be smoothed out but there's only so much of an impact that can have. The lag will always be there for all online games unless you play on a LAN.

And now for something related to BF1. https://www.facebook.com/GamingWorldUK/videos/979478075493106/?fref=nf

Will Battlefield 1 be a bugged game when released? More than likely. Will millions of people still buy it though? Yes, because it will get fixed. And even while it's in the process of getting fixed it will still be a great game that can be a lot of fun if the past games are anything to go by.

  8. Looking forward to actually being able to catch bits and bobs of the touring cars today for a change.

Shame that the Silverline Subaru team have had to withdraw on safety grounds due to their new fuel rail not being strong enough. :( The Scooby sounds amazing and by far the best sounding car this season.

Never the less, it should still be a fantastic day of racing!
