Perhaps Andy Tudor struck a nerve at Turn 10 in one of his recent interviews... because you could see this trailer as a little bit of a strike back to the closed-circuit racing genre (which doesn't make a whole lotta sense with FM5 still on sale, but anyway). :lol: In any case it's a great video - check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8k62OgK4pdU Watch the 'Buy My Volvo' saga afterwards as well.
  2. Some impressive changes in the patch notes. Albeit I don't recall anyone specifically mentioning some of those things on the beta forums, but good on them anyway. Kinda disappointed about adding car parts to the map though. I wanted it to be hard (until I inevitably find it too hard to find them and search online for their location). :)
  3. Don't have a problem with tuning Ferrari's, but you think it would be somewhat pointless to tune a LAF or a F12 since they're already bonkers fast. Unless you have to race against someone in another bonkers fast car... which might just happen in a racing game.
  4. A Russian company requested SMS to make WoS, so that company is pulling the decision strings. Expect kids with laptops to play. Think NFS World. pCARS is a SMS's own game - them doing everything they've wanted to do for the past 10 years, guided by the community. Expect new consoles and high-end gaming rigs to be the popular choice (need a beefy CPU for all those real time physics calculations, and GPU for all the eye candy). WoS has benefited from using the same Madness engine + tweaks made for pCARS. pCARS has benefited from getting some car licenses from WoS. (The injection of income from the Russian company has also helped).

  6. Combat_Shotgun doesn't cruise - he just does 360 spins in front of you all the time in his 900HP Supra so that you can't see beyond the smoke :lol:
  7. Edit a config.ini file or add it as a -parameter... no need for fancy browsers. Just means one person isn't burdened with the server costs. The only problem is segmenting an already-small community. Speaking of communities, there were a few guys on there from TDU.fr... nice of Speeder to select Turboduck to invite additional members.

  9. Well there were 9 people online at one stage, so... I wonder given it's custom server code if the 8 player session limit could be raised to say 10 or 12 (just to see what the impact is)

  11. From the exterior FH1 looks nicer to me. From the interior FH2 looks better.
  12. The autovista models (LODX) are only used in autovista, you can't actually drive them

Worked as good as it ever used to (damn those... umm, amazing wonderful TDU1 servers you've setup) :p Same as above, hard to get players to show up on the map so you can join them. Besides that it was pretty stable. As far as player name colours go Red was best (connection), white was second best. You just don't want to see -//- in front of their name.
