  1. Drove 3.5 hours away to the state's border with NSW to Echuca, where there's plenty of tumbleweed :) Signs on the trees show how high the waters raised in previous floods.
  2. Took some pics of a bunch of old crappy cars  That bit of wire near the wheel was a feature to stop you scraping your wheels along the kerb. :ew: What do you do when you only have half a car? Stick it next to a mirror :)
  3. *is relieved* *is no longer relieved* :panic:
  4. Ring a couple of mechanics and pretend you already own one and ask for a ball-park quote for servicing, etc. ;) European cars will probably cost less to service in Europe compared to down here, so feedback from European members here might be a tad misleading. Different garages here will charge quite different amounts, but perhaps try to find an independent BMW specialist.
  5. My first car was a twin-cam AE92 Toyota Corolla hatchback. Was nice and light, wasn't super fast but decent enough to beat 'average' cars from the lights, and was in great condition and perfectly reliable. Pretty good economy too. Power and economy were noticeably better when I started using Shell V-Power petrol too. The only things I did to it (besides 10,000km services) were add a MP3/WMA CD player and window tinting. The aircon worked great, but back when we had those hot summers the tinting helped a lot (darkest legal from Tint Professor). I remember driving from Melton to the city on Black Saturday with the a/c on and I was freezing inside (48 degrees C outside). Insurance was cheep too (roughly $400 comprehensive for age 18. So something Japanese (preferably Toyota for reliability) that's been looked after is probably your safest bet.
  6. Well at least it's still in the TDUCk family and we'll get to see pics of it being restored.
  7. What was the theme again? I don't even remember seeing the entry thread. Voted pig.
  8. How is this different than the other 'speshul' GT-R models? (ie the one that came with the spec 2.0 or the Stealth model)
  9. Because you have one serial key ;) (only lets one person play at a time). Buy the game for each user/computer.
  10. Did you mess around in the nVidia or ATI control panel? Update graphics drivers? Try a different version of drivers, it may reset something during installation.
  11. Got a screenshot or video? Easiest fix would be to uninstall/reboot/reinstall.
  12. I would, but I found Race On pretty boring after having Race 07 + mods for ages already. I might try out the latest build of CARS instead or chase some baddies in Driver SF :)
  13. You can't create shops, you can only replace standard cars that came with TDU1 or the Megapack (if you legally own it). At best you can only create one or two car slots from memory. Make sure you backup your original files before replacing them with mods. There are tutorials stickied in the forums on how to do this.
  14. Don't worry Clarence. Whatever you have to do is more important than a video game. Hope you sort it out.
  15. I think that second last pic is what they're aiming for with their dynamic weather system, so maybe still reserve some money to join the project, the sooner the better.
  16. Welcome crazyfrog. Fortunately I can't think of any CF songs to get stuck in my head :p
  17. Just as Richard Hammond is secretly American, Milli is secretly Japanese :nods:
  18. Looks great, thanks for sharing. But seriously, you don't have a digital camera? A decent phone camera?
  19. We all know you meant to say "Due to Ryzza never showing up..."
  20. Well they still have a year to go before their initial launch and they confirm that things like Rally will be DLC. It seems like there will be two version of the game, a free "base" version with not much content (buy DLC/microtransactions), and the proper title with a certain set of content, and you can expand from there. Consider the free version as a demo of sorts I guess. The vibe on the forums is very good, and they already have a fair amount to offer as far as playtesting goes. They've also shown how quickly they can work and make progress, so I'm quite optimistic about this title. There's also the chance that this game will also be quite mod-able, like GTR2 was.
  21. What, so taking off then getting the computer to do it all is more fun than the missions where I have some more input? :p I don't know which places are the best looking to fly, and Australia looks awful in the game (plus it's too big) ;) Feel free to PM me with some specific mods and settings and maybe I'll install it again and we can fly online. Last 3 are photoshopped :p
  22. lol, I'll see you next week then  Go to Google and search for 'most livable city' ;)
