  1. I guess that it means something means something :D
  2. If no-one responds, does that mean all of us are in the Beta? :p
  3. Hopefully the insurance will allow you to get a similar or better/newer BMW (or whatever takes your fancy). Hopefully they don't make the process too long and bothersome. Sorry to hear about that.
  4. I've seen that concept take place a number of times, but never to that extreme. I'm a member of a certain VW forum (only ~20 posts there).
  5. If you8 recently installed mods - remove them - they can cause the game to crash. Also try different video card drivers. Also try going to Task Manager and killing as many background process that are able to be stopped safely.
  6. As it is currently I'm not a fan of the GPS. If they are only going to have lines for the roads, then I would rather remove the border of the GPS. Most portable GPS units have at least basic colours to reflect the terrain. TDU1 still has one of my favourite GPS units though from any game.
  7. If there is a Squirrel Mafia club with room, I'm happy to join. Will probably get a 360 copy of TDU2 too.
  8. It happens when you install the Community Patch. The police cars that change colour are just traffic cars that have had their body swapped. They will never chase you. This presents a unique challenge in single player missions, as you do not know which police cars are real and which are fake.
  9. That's correct. When you select a challenge - it says how much time is remaining. Let's say there are 6 hours left. You beat the time, then go away and do something else. Within those 6 hours, someone else comes along, and beats your time. Since he has the best time when the time runs out, he gets the money and the win, not you.
  10. I know of a program called format that will get rid of it
  11. Woah - that really is a ball of fluff in that last pic :p I think I can make out two heads there. They look very nice.
  12. Not really, you would have to tell them your serial number to prove that you own the game... Then again, I don't even think you can call Atari tech support full stop :cheeky:
  13. Good morning to you too. 10.19am here
  14. Well, you totally got that wrong, now didn't you?
  15. Only the GTI and R have paddel shifters. Meh, I'm happy just to put it in sport mode when the need to overtake a truck presents itself :)
  16. Nope - there's a rookie league than you can jump straight into. I only crashed once. That said, it was one of the most courteous races I've ever been involved with on the PC, so it really does add to the sim's immersion.
  17. We use Symantec at work as well. It's better than the home version, but it still lets a few things through.
  18. What are you on about Mellors - that is the correct way. It sounds wrong when you say it, but in practice it is the best way, since when you accelerate, G-forces push you back, and the opposite when you slow down.
  19. Yes - I tried out normal Drive, Sport, and manual mode - all great - fantastic gearbox. Just a shame the +/- are the wrong way around.
  20. Erm, no - Norton and McAffe are the bain of thousands of IT professionals out there. Why on earth would you pay for something when the free alternatives are just as good, if not better. If you're a PC novice - get MS Security Essentials If you're a pro that wants even more - get Comodo Internet Security
  21. I work in the center of Melbourne, and the M1 isn't that brilliant during peak, so I'd always go for an auto over a manual. According to the DSG service manual (for VW staff) the 7spd DSG is simply a manual gearbox with two dry clutches that changes gears automatically. Best of both worlds. I also have the option of retro-fitting a steering wheel from the Golf GTI that has the flappy padels. I have a G25 as well anyway, and that's manual enough for me. Plus, there are so many gadgets in the car I wouldn't have time to change gears  I'm not carrying anyone anywhere at the moment, not for a couple of years yet anyway ;) (how old did you think I was) :oook:
  22. This is what I plan on getting in about a month - took it for a drive today - was great: VW Golf MkVI 118TSI - ~160BHP - 7spd DSG
  23. I would edit that before all the console owners here wake up ;)
