  1. I'm sure out of all the devs working on TDU2, at least one of them would have to have a brother. That said, there's not much point of him telling us the fact if that's all he can say. :)
  2. Maybe they could add them just to the main town/mall areas. If they did though, I would want them to be high quality pedestrians. Otherwise I would want an option to disable them (as would those with low FPS counts). Maybe it could be a cheap DLC.
  3. It would be easier to find the thread in its subforum than go through my list of subscriptions :p Could the timestamp for posts be made to stand out a bit more.. or maybe make it stand out when the last post in a thread is more than 7 days ago (to prevent accidental bumps).
  4. I belive someone already offered me the service, but I don't have any pics that I like heaps to the point where I'd want them enhanced. Also, I'm getting a new GTX 480 soon and hope to achieve better photos with 32x AA (won't be that great with TDU1, but should be better in TDU2).
  5. How about adding a knowledgebase/favourites type function, where each member can add any thread to their Favourites. Then, when a noob asks a repeated question, they just quickly grab the link from the Knowledgebase section in their UserCP. Don't tell me we already have this function as well. :p
  6. Yeah, although i still hope TDU2 supported higher AA/AF settings in the game (at least 8x).
  7. What provisions will be made for those who want to make Machinima style movies using the game?
  8. I'm sure if you purchased a $3500 computer you would want games on it to outperform a $350 XBOX 360. :) I know I do.
  9. Out of the thousands of screenshots I have online, I think only 5 of them are non-TDU :) Here's one:
  10. The only Euro plates I've seen were actually part of the car model that some mods made (Audis and such). You could try creating your own wide number plate.
  11. They also said they are working on new game modes (hopefully multiplayer police chases)
  12. You can create your own here: http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=3538&highlight=Tutorial+plate And there are some pre-made ones here: http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=7210&highlight=Tutorial+plate
  13. I remember playing the original Test Drive on a 386. I was able to get a police ticket whereas my dad would always crash. I also rented Test Drive 5 on PSX once but wasn't a big fan of the physics or the countdown checkpoint races. If they made more of the games on PC I might've played more, but I was always on the NFS side of the fence at the time. All I can say is that I hope the offroad features of TDU2 don't draw too much inspiration from their old offroad games. I'm hoping, you could even say 'expecting' that the physics on dirt roads when rallying are very similar to Dirt2 where I can left foot brake to slide around corners, etc. I'll be a happy pumpkin then
  14. The speed and gear in the HUD is a giveaway for TDU. It looks like the alpine mod, but a few other environmental things look a bit different too.
  15. I think he's appealing to owners of real-life Ferrari's to join his club since you don't have to worry about damage in TDU1. I'm not sure how many Ferrari owners we have here though. :(
  16. I get the feeling that you'll only see pedestrians when the cars are not moving... i.e. ...Before a race starts ...At a club or car dealer or other shop Otherwise lag could be an issue. Since pedestrians don't move at 400kph (although I shudder to think of the hacks that could be made to change this) you can have more of them (32). I'm guessing that's the reasoning being done at Eden. And that too, pedestrians can't be run over by stationary cars (just don't forget to pull the handbrake). :)
  17. I dunno about that, I cut a corner in a race in MCLA and I heard a convincing thud... not sure if they jumped out of the way fast enough... I sorta felt bad for the rest of the race.
  18. Nice pics Softie Would you mind editing the first post and pressing Enter between some of the pics so that we don't have to scroll sideways to see them all ---> :) Thanks
  19. nVidia Design Garage - a ray tracing demo (not a game) that works on the nVidia 200 series cards (very slowly) but is designed to showcase their new GTX 400 series cards. http://forums.eu.atari.com/showthread.php?t=94076
  20. Hi Stefan. I haven't edited that post, otherwise it would say 'Edited by Ryzza5' down the bottom. If you edit the post you can still see the URLs there, so maybe something is up with your image hosting provider.
  21. The links are still there in text form.
  22. Who said you need a drivers license to go drifting? :) edit: Oh poop, I just realized I bumped an ancient thread... my bad.
  23. Pick another name, someone else already has the one you tried to use. If you were previously using a NoDVD program to play the game, you need to delete it and use the original executable file that was installed by the 1.66a patch. If you did not keep a backup of this file, then you need to uninstall the game, reboot Windows, and install it again.
  24. Click the Start Menu, and paste the following in the Search box (then press Enter): C:\ProgramData\Test Drive Unlimited Delete the CDKey.txt file and then start the game again. You will now be prompted for the new key. You MUST use the game DVD to play online (unless purchased from one of Atari's online stores).
  25. Moved to new thread in PSP section
