  1. That's what I was noting, it's possible he was initially trying to like mod threads that were old.
  2. At first I was sad they were killing an R8, then I 'got it', and I was all :oook: :ew:
  3. Also worth noting that you can't Like really old posts that made long before we added the Like feature, i.e. New Smilies!! | turboduck forum
  4. Cheers guys. Not that concerned about what's beyond at this stage, but surprised at how tough it can be, maybe because I've been there so long and seen so many changes staff- and other-wise. 3rd of my life essentially. The worst is yet to come, farewell activities *shudders*
  5. I'm pretty sure we'll be able to convince them to bring it back. They just want to make sure it doesn't bring along any bugs (such freedom is hard to test for).
  6. Post some more Supra photos then ;)
  7. Tyres, etc. They're not cheap.
  8. Don't feel like replacing parts of my bike already.
  9. Maybe I'll have some time to get some videos up in a couple of weeks. Let me know if there's something you'd like to see in particular.
  10. Uninstall your nVidia driver, then when you reinstall, go Custom and don't tick the audio components. That will get rid of them. It will also prevent you from pumping audio out via HDMI.
  11. What do you mean, they're awesome! (You might want want a wheel though). And they're 250cc iirc. They're like motorbikes but you can high-speed drift them.
  12. That Lykan is um, very interesting to drive. RWD and very powerful, so hard to accelerate, and weighs a few tonnes, so quite hard to stop at the other end! You should probably create a new account if the public forums as you weren't a WMD member. Those who are on WMD can login to that new forum with the same credentials.
  13. Off track areas are defined by manually by whoever set it up, it's not necessarily tied to the surface you are on. If you're going off track you're not setting the fastest possible time anyway. Your lap times are only recorded and uploaded in Time Trial mode anyway, so it's a bit redundant when racing AI. You might try going into the options menu and turning off Flags and Penalties.
  14. Yes, Ctrl+F is free cam. Ctrl+F allows you to pan around the car similar to photo mode and keep the camera locked at that angle (i.e. for creating trailers).
  15. Tip for taking screenshots, Ctrl+K still seems to work. Make sure you switch to the 3rd person view first before activating. Use in conjunction with a screenshot capture program (Steam, FRAPS, Afterburner, etc).
  16. I'll outline the usual way to test this, but you ain't gonna like it (you're going to need lots of time) First thing you want to do is remove as much 'fluff' as possible - by that I mean make the system as barebones as possible for it to boot up. One stick of RAM, no video card (if there's an integrated one), unplug all peripherals besides a basic keyboard/mouse, etc. Then start Windows in safe mode or use some live-CD operating system such as Hiren Mini-XP or Bart-PE or Ultimate Boot CD for Windows. (You may have to create this on another PC). Then you want to run some stress test software, such as Burn In Test, MemTest, Prime95. Go for the first one as it tests multiple components, and run the tests for a few hours at a time, so that a few passes complete. There's a decent chance that the tests will run successfully (which is kind-of what we want, otherwise diagnosis becomes harder). You then want to shutdown and make a change to the system, maybe remove the 1 stick of RAM and insert another to test it, then run the tests again. Then you might boot into normal Windows and try again. If there are faults here, try removing all device drivers in case one is buggy. Test again. Then switch to using 2 slots of memory. Consult your mainboard manual to see which slots to use. Consult its website to see if your memory is on its compatibility list. I once had a similar issue and the fault turned out to be that my mainboard didn't like my Corsair DDR3 RAM. I tried DOA'ing many components but it wasn't until I switched to another brand of RAM that everything magically resolved. This is back when DDR3 was brand new and there weren't many options. Add remaining RAM. Test again. Add remaining internal hardware items one at a time, test again. Connect external peripherals, test again. Hope this helps.
  17. Just saw it :hi5: (I read CB archive and threads in chrono order)
  18. Had it since August 2010 with just under 6,000kms. First 2 years I drove a lot of A- and B-roads for pleasure and racked them all up that way. Have done a few long work trips and a holiday interstate, which included an all-day spirited drive on deserted mountain roads. Haven't had any proper failures, just mainly software updates to tweak/improve things.
  19. The photo mode is a bit weird (at least on PC), you access your saved photos through your Driver Network Profile screen thingy (toggle between photos and replays by clicking a button at top-right). Bring the photo back up and use whatever capture software you have. There are plans to re-enable some of the dev tools we've had access to (i.e. Ctrl+F for free-cam and then just capture a shot with the HUD off, which is a preferred method for many of us). I wonder where you got that idea from.
  20. Since the PC LE is delayed (rain damage) here, and I only really want the box/book, I might try and switch it for a PS4 LE version tomorrow.
  21. With some lucky console players already in-game and the global digital release just hours away, here's a thread to use for your thoughts, questions, tips, etc. Quick preview from Darin Gangi; TL:DW = so far so impressed. In case you didn't know, the UK Kart Nationals artwork was created by yours truly.
