  1. If you could export it as a ZModeler-compatible format, probably. :) -Leadfoot
  2. Snow often bunches around the edges of roads - plow spots, snow kicked up by cars. You could put more "mixed-up" (darker gray) snow at the edge/end of the road to cover the problem. :) Looks great, though! -Leadfoot
  3. First one! @Lazerchicken: I think if we used HDR, everything would be a blinding white and have too much glow. :) -Leadfoot
  4. Nice shots -especially the drift Mustang! :) Where was the Tahoe from? I remember coming across it in my TDU mod forages, but I can't seem to find it anymore... Thanks in advance! -Leadfoot
  5. Second one. :) REALLY can't wait for this! EDIT: Not official snow - he mentioned earlier all the floating objects (newspaper, trash, etc.) into snowflakes. So its like a light snow before a heavy storm. :cheeky: I live in a snowy area, and those who live in similar spots I'm sure know exactly what I'm talking about. :) -Leadfoot
  6. Thanks for the "Online-Safe Values" list. ;) I'll definitely be using this. :) Just a question. You say say "Brand" on the safe list, but what about the write-in-your-own values for the model and sub-model? Nice to know that I can move the suspension/wheels much more freely now! :) Great work, and very organized format. +Rep! -Leadfoot
  7. Welcome to the second monthly COTM poll! As before, you can vote on the one car you feel was the best quality mod from November. Please remind me if I forgot something. :) So here are this month's contenders (there's a lot this time): Tool831: Pagani Zonda R Tool831: Aston Martin DB9 Tool831: Nissan 370Z FenixZ: Ford Shelby GT500 (2010) Tool831: Porsche 911 GT3 RSR Tool831: Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 Edition Tool831: BMW 135i Coupe J/T Tuning/Big-t1991: “Porsche” GTZero (Fictional) J/T Tuning|thunderhawk17382 : Dodge Charger SRT8/Dodge Charger Super Bee Grin116: SEAT Leon Cupra Grin116: Ford Focus ST Tool831: BMW M3 E92 Tool831: BMW M3 GT2 Tool831: VW Golf GTI (MkV) Tool831: Lamborghini Reventon Racer-STI: Subaru Impreza WRX STI (2009 with Ken Block vinyl) Tool831: Ford Escort Cosworth Tool831: Nissan 240SX (S13) Tool831: Lotus Elise 111R Tool831: Porsche Carrera GT Tool831: Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged StarLeyGT: Messerschmit TG 500 (Tuned) Please, be considerate and think about your choice. This contest is to decide the best mod over the past month, not your favorite car, not which one you think looks cool. Beyond that, you can pick whatever one you feel is best, be that most detailed, most realistic, most impressive, least buggy, most accurate physics-wise (if applicable). This applies to you, too, modders. You can vote, but make sure it really is what you think the best car is. Feel free to include a reason or two why you choose that car when/if you post. Happy voting! :) The video of the winning car will be posted around December 20th, which is when the poll will close this time. :) The winning car is the Porsche Carrera GT by Tool831! -Leadfoot
  8. Cool! So the only thing changed is the DB.bnk? Cool. Do you think/know if the servers still ban you? Its an old game... -Leadfoot
  9. The R or the F? Either way, thanks! :) -Leadfoot
  10. Ah, the first of the poll-decided cars - can't wait to see what's next! :) -MacLeadfoot (A reminder of this particular name-editing thing in case historians try to document the history of TDU:C, and to ease their documentation of the fact that during this span of time the all-seeing leaders of TDU:C have added a "Mac" in front of everyone's names. :cheeky:)
  11. Would've Voted Cars (WVC): Corvette C6 Z06 Corvette Z06 427 Honda Civic Si '67 Corvette Stingray Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG (Roof On) Scion Tc :) -Leadfoot
  12. Voted ZR1 and only ZR1. Partly because I didn't realize it was multi-vote, :cheeky: and partly because the GT3 RS already had enough. The ZR1 would be a truly fantastic addition to TDU, seeing as all the standard Corvettes in the game are very inaccurate - and if Tool's going to make a new Corvette, it might as well be the top of the pack. :) -Leadfoot
  13. Because I said I would earlier: http://img686.imageshack.us/img686/2802/img3682.jpg ^Thought it was thirteen earlier, sorry. Might've been seven. But I was short back then, and couldn't hold the camera high enough to see them all. :cheeky: And they continue around the bend. http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/6262/img3692o.jpg http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/4104/img3693o.jpg ^This is COMPLETELY street legal! :) Just modded to look like a C6.R. -Leadfoot Mod Edit: Please do not post pictures above 350kb. The largest picture was 1375kb... ;)
  14. The Lambo buyer and the Audi buyer are different people. In the business world (I'm guessing) the potential buyer of an Audi R8 is one who wants a fast car when he/she is bored of being chauffeured around in an Audi A8; they want civility and refined power. The Lambo buyer, on the other hand, will probably bought the car because its outrageous - after all, what other defining qualities do Lambos have? Obscene power, sleek and edgy styling, and NOISE all fall under "outrageous." :) Of course, this is just the far edges of the spectrum. In reality, the two kinds of buyers are much more similar. But why would Audi need a 600-hp supercar? To take another share of Lamborghini's buyers? Sure, it would be awesome to a car guy like me, but in the dreary eyes of men in bland suits and G-Whiz drivers, it would not help the company's image. :( But if they made it, it would be really cool. :cheeky: :) -Leadfoot
  15. Engine Inertia is how fast/slow it spins down. For example, with less inertia, the engine goes down to idle quickly when you rev. With more inertia, it takes longer for it to return to idle. :) I have yet to experiment deeply, but I'd assume gearbox inertia is how long it takes to change gears. I have question, though: What do the suspension values (rate, suspension height vs. body height) mean? Are there any simple definitions? -Leadfoot
  16. Looks nice! Might need to be a little more glossy, though, but looking good so far. :) -Leadfoot
  17. Very nice sound! And having two cars makes it a very nice demonstration. :) -Leadfoot
  18. In regards to it affecting sound mods, it wouldn't really. From what I'm guessing, it only modifies the common.bnk or something sound file - stuff like skidding noise, ambient sound, stuff like that. :) -Leadfoot
  19. It is very good - better, in fact - on PC. It's as good as the console version, except it has the mouse and keyboard, making gameplay much, much more precise. :) Buy it off Steam, if you're going to. Silly console gamers - don't know what they're missing. :cheeky: -Leadfoot
  20. I wonder if there are some parameters that would still let you on the server - a min/max value for something that you could still play online with. That way we could get realistic performance and not get kicked off by Atari (well, Gamespy)... -Leadfoot
  21. Yeah, that would be my suggestion. I'd just do five parts, because I'll download 1GB files for BF2 mods and patches, and it works fine. :) Like I said in the other thread, amazing work! Can't wait for the release! I especially like the roadsigns and the fog. :) -Leadfoot
  22. Oooh, tomorrow I'm going to find a shot I took a few years back at Limerock Park of 13 Ford GTs in a row. Hehe... EDIT: Though, yeah, I guess its not really a spot if its at a show, but its still "what we saw recently," isn't it? -Leadfoot
  23. STOP WHINING! If you want the car, find a model to use! Otherwise, how do you expect people to make it? And for the same reason, stop saying "no one wants to make it." Once you find the model, then we'll see. -Leadfoot
  24. Forgot about this earlier: Plymouth Prowler! :) Such a wacky car, and one of the first American cars with a manumatic. Off topic: LOL@ your sig, Bishop! :) -Leadfoot
