  1. Saw your comment on my user page thingy (sorry I didn't see it earlier - I always forget to check that page). The cars I have in mind are the DB9, DB9 Volante, and Corvette C6 Z06. :) Thanks again for making the proper Lambo Murcielago and SLR McLaren. :)

  2. I'm new to this message system, so not sure if this'll work. Anyway, the Z06; I see a few of these around where I live (well, one, actually...), and it really is a nice-looking car in real life. However, the TDU version is... somehow too "triangular," with the front behind a little too low and oddly shaped, and the general front angles being completely wrong. The NFS model, however, accurately copies the real-life version, in my opinion. When I get my new monitor I'll try to find a pic to show the difference... :) Thanks for the reply! -Leadfoot

  3. Remember to BACK UP ANY FILES YOU REPLACE! It's a big pain to have to find a backup file if you forget. On the new mod download pages, there's usually a link to Djey's "Magic Map" file, which is called Bnk1.map. You'll need this to use any mods. That file is located in Atari/Test Drive Unlimited/Euro/Bnk. The car you're downloading will come in some form of a compressed file, like a .zip or .rar or whatever. Open it in Winzip or Winrar or whatever (I personally prefer to use 7-Zip). Inside is (in most cases) a ReadMe file, an interior and exterior, and a rim file). - Open the Atari/Test Drive Unlimited/Euro/Bnk/Vehicules directory (no idea why Atari decided to spell it that way :cheeky: ), and copy the files for the interior and exterior into there. The files are pretty self-explanatory: Drag those files into the directory and click yes to overwrite. ____________________ (Message too long)

  4. Here's where the files are located Sound is in Euro/Bnk/Sound/Vehicules Interior Exterior is in Euro/Bnk/Vehicules Bnk1.map is in Euro/Bnk Database (you probably don't need this yet) is in Euro/Bnk/Database _____________________ Hope this helps! PM me if you have any questions! :) -Leadfoot

  5. You finally got a PS3, eh? :) Cool! Once GT5 full comes out, do tell how it compares to Forza. :)

  6. Since we can't post in the WIP section, nice work with the Ferrari California! :) Can't wait to drive it! -Leadfoot

  7. "We" as in modders? It won't let me post. :( -Leadfoot

  8. Good luck on the FM3 DBS, since we can't post in the WIP section to say so. :)

  9. Thank you so much for making the ST1! It looks great so far - hopefully it'll have the quality of the AMV12 when finished. :) -Leadfoot

  10. Hey. You said you wanted help with your sound modding. It seems like a smart move posting it in the WIP section, but, unfortunately, the common TDU:C user cannot post a reply there. :( I'd recommend posting your request in the general "Mod Shop" area. As for a possible answer to your question, I think you can just shorten the sound file. No need to use complex workarounds - just a shorter file. Course, this could lead to some problems, namely the end of the shortened file not aligning to the beginning, causing a "snap" to the beginning. But this is normally not a problem, especially with the car accelerating and changing revs. Hope that helps! -Leadfoot

  11. You didn't post in the wrong section, it's just that the users of TDU:C abused the privilege of commenting on WIP mods, and we can't post there. It's the right section for showing progress, just not for getting feedback. Not your fault at all. :) As far as I know about the WAV, it doesn't have to be a certain type (admittedly, I'm not too familiar with audio formats, but I've never had to do anything funky with types of encoding formats). Hopefully someone with more experience can help you. :( Perhaps Djey or an experienced sound modder (such as fifomaniak). -Leadfoot

  12. There was never one. I got backtracked, and then the releases slowed down with Tool gone. Very sorry! :( I miss it too. I'm going to try to do a "renaissance vote" with the cars from May, June and July. :) -Leadfoot

  13. Inbox no longer full. :) -Leadfoot

  14. Thanks. :) -Leadfoot

  15. Hehe, thanks. :) /Late reply. :cheeky: -Leadfoot

  16. I believe it's a meme used as a response to a post or picture that seems to state the obvious, be confusing, or uninformative (what some may describe as "dumb"). It's particularly used in response to inanimate objects that seem to give the "duuuuuur, what?" look. Though it works sometimes in response to certain online things, I find it annoying when used in real life.

  17. What an, um, interesting sig, Kelv... -Leadfoot

  18. [IMG] Hahaha! -Leadfoot

  19. Thanks for asking! :) It was actually an old gaming clan idea for BF1942 that has long since been stopped. It meant "Yeknom Tribe," which is just "monkey" spelled backwards (not my idea, don't ask why :p ). Using it as a clan tag was something from my first gamertag that I decided to keep because it added some depth to "Leadfoot." :) -Leadfoot

  20. Hey, is that 3-series in your avatar yours? Looks cool! :)

  21. :( Sorry to hear that.

  22. lol, no problem, that's how I got my sig quote. :cheeky:

  23. Hey, are we allowed to have GIF sigs? Your new one looks pretty cool (I remember that episode). :D

  24. Oh. Sorry I mentioned it, then.

  25. Good luck during tomorrow's storm. A foot and a half are the predictions for here (I'm a little further north than you). :D -Leadfoot
