  1. Hard to say really, but not really being much of a fan of super-cars and prefer being a bit more understated: 1. '67 Ford Mustang Fastback, dark red with black stripes. Don't ask why. Probably garaged most of the time, kept spotless, only allowed outside when there isn't a cloud in the sky. (lolunderstatedinEngland). 2. Ford Mondeo ST220 for my daily drive. 3. Blob-Eye Subaru Impreza STI Type UK for my weekend blasts. 4. VW Golf GTI 16v or VR6 for nostaligia/second daily driver. 5. Aston Martin V12 Vantage for special occasions. (lolunderstated) Yep, I'm as boring as I sound :p
  2. I had, quite possibly, the best dream every while listening to the album this is on earlier. Walking through a silent Winter forest with deep snow on the ground and a light fog winding it's way through the trees, before I climbed a mountain, stood on the top, looked around and took a deep breath. Then the album finished, and no, I hadn't taken drugs and I never have. Properly powerful music when you get into it, especially the last minute or so of this song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1aJPEFtoNg
  3. Lel, it did sound like a good game until I read earlier that someone had raced half way across America in two hours, then it sounded pretty bad. Last week: Battlefield 3. This week: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Next Week: Saints Row: The Third. I'm glad I got Modern Warfare 3 for £18 instead of full asking price, because it really is average at best online. The only part of it I've enjoyed is singleplayer and I suspect I'm half way through that now already. Battlefield 3 isn't much better but at least it's good to look at. These new FPS games haven't got the charm.
  4. I do plan on getting this at some point. Apparently it's hilarious.
  5. I paused the Manic Street Preachers for that.. I was not disappointed.
  6. Only just seen this but I'm in/was in the same position as you. I wouldn't own my car if one of the previous owners hadn't crashed it, if I remember correctly it was actually written off, but as it was only a few years old at the time a professional company repaired it. Although I'm sure as eggs it's been in more than one accident sadly, there isn't a straight panel on it. But because of this it made it the cheapest on the internet at the time. Tough 'uns these old diesel Peugeots though. Sad to see what's happened though, MB. Looked like a great little car.
  7. Obligatory Russian Car Crash video of the month: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XasWNT_KVHs 2:37 did make me laugh. You can see it happening in so many of the clips but they appear to just go "Ahhh, sod it, I'll crash!".
  8. I bought Battlefield 3: Limited Edition from Tesco Entertainment for £23, but I really, really can't be bothered to take a photo of it. Plus you all know what it looks like anyway. Should've waited really, I'm not enjoying it anywhere near as much as I enjoyed the Beta.
  9. Any new games that I get these days (for the PC) generally have some Release Date Checker thing on them, so on the off chance I do get a game before it's actually released I leave it. I don't know what happens if you do try and install a game before it's release day with one of these date checkers, but I prefer to just do these sorts of things by the book.
  10. Correct. Should've made it a bit more clear really. All sorted now though.
  11. Oooerrr: http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/IMG_0064.jpg That's what it looked like when it was on the car, I hadn't started picking at it yet. Don't know how it got so bad in such a short space of time. Wouldn't have been long before I was driving around in a decat'd 306 HDI :p
  12. More money spending. Car needs a new exhaust downpipe, a weld just after the Catalytic Converter has decided to turn into a hole in less than a day and got a lot worse over the last week. Took the Catalytic Converter and adjoining pipes off to discover that you can now see daylight through what used to be the weld, probably a 1/4 of the pipe at most was still holding it all together, it was about to fall apart I think. Just gotta hope GSF have one tomorrow so I can still drive my car next week.
  13. Standard: http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/2011-02-25_00003.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/2011-02-25_00005.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/2011-11-06_00001.jpg Not in the same game, the last one was from yesterday. Had to block out my Steam Profile picture on a couple of them because it was naughty, naughty. Now I find myself checking all the names and.. oh dear..
  14. 5/10 I wouldn't say I'm dangerous but I don't think I pay anywhere near enough attention. I just go into auto-pilot, but I suppose that comes with the territory of driving along 50 miles of A-Roads every day where you hardly ever stop, it's pretty free flowing, not in the slightest a demanding road to drive on and the most you need to engage your brain is when you have to overtake a tractor once every couple of days. I also get pee'd off at other people/their driving very, very quickly, but some of the driving I see is just so frickin' stupid the only thing it warrants is some Vs and the odd swear word, but just one event such as that sets me on boil for the rest of the day. If I do anything wrong I usually spend the rest of the day thinking about it and what I could've done differently as well which in turn makes my driving worse as well. I also do the odd things to annoy other road users as well like not letting them out if I'm the first in a long line of cars, I'll speed up if someone tries to overtake me and I deem them to be an idiot because I know they won't get anywhere. Like when they overtake me only to find another group of cars infront doing the same speed and no other places to overtake for 10s of miles, what's the point? Save your fuel, sit there and stay quiet. Either they're a complete idiot or don't know the road. On the plus side, despite being 20 I don't race around or race other people, I overtake what needs to be overtaken to carry on smooth progress, I don't rev the guts out of my car all the time (infact I try to avoid it) and I don't blast out stupid music everywhere I go either. I'm pretty relaxed behind the wheel when I'm not raging at other people which to be fair isn't that often, since passing my test my judgement/anticipation seems to have become better, I stick to the speed limits unless overtaking something where I might go 10-20MPH over the limit to get past the vehicle I'm overtaking in good time, but then I'll go back down to the speed limit again. Whether I'm in a city or on a country lane I'm pretty confident of what I'm doing. I've driven in pretty much all weather conditions now besides a sandstorm or tornado. I'm not fazed by rain although I'll allow extra time for the journey and space between other cars. Drove in snow and ice a couple of times last year but I'll probably try and avoid it if it looks bad this year, really don't want any incidents in the first year of driving.
  15. Shame they didn't galvanise the bottom of my drivers door, bloody thing :p
  16. Thanks for the vote EyeKatcher, but I fear that your photograph completely overshadows mine in every way :p Not that you can vote for yourself, but yeh.
  17. Some of the videos I've seen of it in action on the iPad 2 left a lot to be desired in my opinion. Controls looks pretty rubbish/clunky, looks good but plays pretty poor. Glad it isn't coming to the standard iPhone 4 otherwise I may have wasted some money.
  18. "No one's perfect". That or he's one of the many victims of using a forum while drunk that I see every day, it's not good :p As for the comparison video. This is why I'm not that bothered about losing San Fierro and Las Venturas because there's that much more detail in the map that we will have that it'll more than likely balance out the loss of two cities. Although the dessert and dry dock at San Fierro dock (which I used for stunting on motorbikes a lot) are pretty irreplacable.
  19. Well, it was Friday but whatever. Went to see Adrian Edmondson and The Bad Shepherds. They do covers of punk songs but with folk music instruments. I was a bit apprehensive about how good it'd be but it was suprisingly good. Adrian had a broken toe and a sprained ankle and the backing vocalist (who also played about 1,000,000 different instruments) had a flu but they still sounded great. A lot better than my usual Friday evening anyway.
  20. Another band I ignored for way too long I think. Haven't stopped listening to them for the last week or so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTzPihhzmQY
  21. I use Firefox, works fine for me, I don't think I'm on the latest version but it's still fast, and pretty simple to use. There are probably some good addons but I don't use them, a lot of them seem to clutter up the interface with rubbish I don't need. Use Internet Explorer at work because it's not my computer and they don't have any other browser installed, but it's useless, it hardly lets me on any websites at all, BBC and Pistonheads Forums are the only websites it really likes. Used Google Chrome on my dads computer when he installed it for some reason. Gave up and raged after a couple of minutes. Only ever used Safari on my phone so I can't really comment :p
  22. Sorry to disappoint some of you but... http://www.gtav.net/ I wanted it to be the whole of San Andreas as well but it would've been too ambitious for the current generation of consoles really. They still say it'll be their lagest and more ambitious game yet.
  23. Decided I can't wait to do some rallying up the mountain. Should be a bit more fun than San Andreas if the physics are similar to GTA IV.
  24. I do like that shape of Mondeo. My uncle had a 2007 2.0 TDCI Edge (130BHP) as a company car, he ragged that thing around like Hell, but it put up with it. Suspension started to go towards the end though, got a bit too wallowy in the corners so my uncle wasn't as eager to throw it around. 130,000 miles in three years before he got made redundant from his job. I wouldn't mind an ST220 myself :p
