Problem. The files don't slice up and loop properly. I need to do this because increasing the bass increases the file size.... I'm working on it, though Edit: Initial testing reveals bad pitching after 4000rpm, and the highest RPM it sounds like a Viper for some reason... The idle and low RPM sound mint though, would you mind just having those?- 295 replies

Well, I had a go. SniffPetrol.com is a wonderful source of Not Advertisments, absolutely brilliant. So, I carved one up in Photoshop and put it in game. This is what happened: http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn7/captain_clutch_kick/20080628163028.jpg (NOTE: It was on the wrong side of the sun, that's why I messed up the levels on this picture) I am unsure if the muscle car is just a glitch, never really noticed those bilboards before! Other than that, it crashed the first time I went there, but I logged in again, tazzed around the block for a while and it seemed to work just fine, apart from cropping off a few pixels at the edges... Expect more from me, I have some really funny ones to put up! ;)

The Official TDU Show-Off-Your-Mods thread
Captain_ClutchKick replied to Car Freak's topic in TDU - Support
Could you upload that please? I want to drift a Holden Monaro. It won the Austrailian Drifting Championships last year! :) E: In the mean time, who wants to see a McMerc SLR 722? :D http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn7/captain_clutch_kick/mcmerc722.jpg It only looks slightly different because of the limitations of TDU http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn7/captain_clutch_kick/mclaren-19.jpg -

If you could build a drift car...
Captain_ClutchKick replied to DriftNismo's topic in Automotive Discussion
I want to see a completely inapropriate car drifting - how about a fairly new Daihatsu Charade with a split straight 6 (two in-line engines sharing a crankshaft but not a block) conversion from its own and another engine? RMR layout. A wardrobe with wheels going sideways!! 1. Base car - £4000 second hand 2. Another engine - £500 from a written-off car. 3. Tranny fettling and floor-pan modifications for a longitudal mid-engined RWD layout - £5000 4. Chassis stiffening - £6000, could be expensive to fabricate certain bits 5. Wide body kit, wheels etc - £6000, same reasons as the last bit £21,500 :D -

TDU-C Sound Mod Pack 3 *Now Released*
Captain_ClutchKick replied to S71NG3R's topic in Car Customization Mods
Booyah! Found a way of opening .viv files and the contained .bnk files (thank you Audacity!) from NFS Hot Pursuit II. Expect a kick-ass Ferrari 360 sound mod at some point ;) EDIT: not too soon though because they all have spadstard names  -

It's definitely possible. Some Russian bloke made an MC12 completely blue, save for a few white bits at the wheelarches, and he even added a Russian flag behind the front wheel.- 295 replies

Actually, with the Saleen 'Stangs and the Alfa GT, you can keep the standard wheel size if you apply the upgrades to a car with standard wheels, so when you go to buy an Alfa GT before sport kitting it out, DO NOT CHOOSE DIFFERENT RIMS FROM SHOWROOM STANDARD. Keep the standard rims and they will keep the same size when you upgrade, even for the Ford/Saleen Mustangs ;)

Saleen S7 ... Any Good? What do you think?
Captain_ClutchKick replied to jbenekeorr's topic in Driving & Racing Games
Meh... The F1 did it all before, and without two turbos. It's good because you can actually buy 1000bhp "Competition" versions of it, so the tuning is bang on, which in TDU can't be said of the McLaren F1: I doubt if anybody has ever got more than 700bhp or so out of its NA BMW V12, nevermind 850!! Looks: Seems very functional, if a bit too A-MEH-rican, if you understand. Speed: Faster than some, but not all. Acceleration: Fast like greased lard in a lift shaft! Handling: It lacks any kind of lateral grip. Price: Fairly priced for what it is. You can win all A-class races in it. EDIT: Okay, I read some of SaLLeeN's posts and became inspired. Here is a similar form of the aforesaid in a form of, er, "alternative" English ;) Before the S7, a formidible force devoted to light weight and fast distances on and off the racing circuit was the McLaren F1. Yet, the great record for fastest prodution automobile set by F1 was somewhat void: the car used was not as could be purchased. Pre-transmission revolutions were beyond ordinary levels. The F1 differs from the S7TT in the method of atomospheric feeding to the combustion unit: the F1 utilises the pistons' natural thirst for air, though the Saleen is equipped with exhaust-propelled induction forcers. I don't understand this rule on forums. Is finding new things to say in an old thread really as bad as making a new thread about the same thing? -
Veyron + NFS Pro Street = No good.
Captain_ClutchKick replied to Mb's topic in Driving & Racing Games
I like the Veyron, but it isn't good enough in Prostreet. I'm sure it has a fast gearbox, yet it can't it out-drag a 600bhp steel-bodied muscle car :oook: Pro Street is a broken game, especially the modified bonus cars or even standard: Gallardo Superleggera, I'm looking through your engine bay! Since Carbon, the bodykits for all tuner cars have been almost nothing but rice: I mean, I want a splitter at the front but why do I have to scrape the bumper on the ground to get this without having to have massive great wings on the side of the splitter? Although the new kits have partially good rear diffusers/under trays at the back, the most aerodynamically effective kits I'd say are still in the Underground games: Type V, Rage, and Frenzy from Underground 1 are my sort of thing, but no, from then on it was all *turns front end of car into mutant hippo nose* "DAYUM your ride looks phat DAWG" ad nauseum. I like the new stock autosculpt, it's quite effective but glitches with the rear end of some cars. And you can't change the exhaust tips on it. Boo. Most Wanted is still good because although the kits were quite similar (not necessarily a bad thing) they didn't look too ricey and chav. Plus, it can be modded! Hurrah! :D But Pro Street cannae... :( The next NFS has to be seriously special if EA want to turn the series around. -

Tutorial: Create Your Own Number Plate
Captain_ClutchKick replied to Iced_Bullet's topic in Car Customization Mods
Fed up of personalised plates? Can't think of anything witty? Would rather an option to remove plates altogether? Well, this isn't it, but might make you happier... The plain plates set In black, white, grey and lighter grey. If you don't like WS models you can always have this for a flat one. -
Most trainers come up as malware or viruses but only because that is the way they work, they "interfere" with other programs in the RAM of your machine and that is similar to what a virus does. I have used a trainer from Cheathappens.com regularly because I wanted to unlock all the concept cars and leave arcade mode. In my online profile I unticked every box in the settings so that I was as offline as possible without being offline. But if I multiplied my speed or height too much at once, I got the mesage "There is an inconsistency in game data. You will be disconnected." (Simpler to say something simple like, "You cheat, begone!!", but there you go) However, I'm not banned, all I did when that happened was log in again and continue. The anti-cheat has definitely been upgraded because now I can't have super speed or fly anymore, even in an offline profile. Still, I have everything unlocked now and have no use for that program and so I have deleted it :D

The main reason I want to get hacking into Prostreet is for the sounds. But I would love to drive a Honda S2000 top-down in Oahu, VTEC four-pot singing away... you can keep your RUF Spyder!! :D

I'm at college with a few hours to kill and am trying to mod sounds with progs from my USB disk but the SRP thought police are stopping me from opening them. Any way of getting around it? Opening from temporary folder does not work :oook:

Big thanks to the dude who made the Spyker sounds, without which my first sound mods could not exist  Smooth Audi V8 sounds for A6 4.2 and S4 rag top!!
