  1. ahh, I see now, Italian Job. Now it makes sense.
  2. Ok, so the cheepest priced car there was about $80-90,000. And they go any buy a mini cooper? lol
  3. I don't like the Viper either, just as a whole. WAY to overpriced. The interior needs some work and more luxury features to compete properly with the Corvette. And the price needs to come down about $20,000
  4. just another way to improve an almost perfect car IMO :)
  5. A common saying is "the streets are no longer safe." The streets in Italy are now much safer however, "the streets are no longer fun"
  6. there is a teaser video out now that shows the, testing the Lamborghini LP-560 and taking the Stig finally taking the Bugatti Veyron around the top gear track.
  7. They now have a new plan that I enjoy...GM basically has most control over this merger. They want to by Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep completely. Then they will move to keep the Jeeps, keep the 2 minivans that Chrysler/Dodge have, and dicontinue every single other vehicle. Every last one, that means no more Viper, Charger, Challegner, Durango, 300, Apen, Crossfire, all of them, gone. The minivans would be made into Chevrolet and Buick minivans and the Jeeps would keep their name.
  8. it's definately one of the most comical problems with test drive lol :) Just a small house can display a reflection of a whole city with skyscrapers and such, but the house is lying to you lol
  9. this would be much better suited in teh Showroom area of the forums However, that is a very nice car
  10. But what you must understand is that the Hybrid Escalade was not made for gas mileage purposes at all. It was specificaly made for maerketing purposes, or rather to appeal to the Hybrid byers. And the other reasons are to make Greenpeace happy and to get the government off of their butts and leave them alone. If the government had not been nagging them about their mileage, there would not have been a Hybrid Escalade. Same goes for the Hybrid Tahoe, Hybrid GMC Yukon, Hybid Chevy Silverado, Hybrid GMC Sierra, so on and so forth. P.S. the Hybird Escalade gets 22 mpg, not 20, do your research please ;)
  11. while you do have a point about the environment, the fact is, people simply do not care about the environment as much as they did before and SUVs will sell and keep selling forever. For example: weather here in Kentucky, the snow can get pretty deep and nasty. Where are the cars? stuck in the snow and calling for the SUVs to help. Where are the SUVs? helping the cars out of the snow and driving easily home, worry free! same goes for the rain when it's over roads... where are the cars? trying to find another way home where are the SUVs? driving through the water and going home, worry free. and for the family aspect... My family consists of 2 parents and 2 children including myself which could all fit in a car, however, if we go on a vacation for a long period of time...where is the luggage going to go? It go in the trunk but probably would not fit. what about wrecks and/or crashes? for example: car hits car: where are the drivers? on their way to the hospital car hits SUV: car driver finds ride to hospital. SUV driver finds ride home. Another example is hills: I live in Eastern Kentucky which consists of many many many hills. SUVs will actually get better mpg than cars when hills enter the picture. car goes up hill, rpm's go up and more gas is used. SUV goes up hill, rpm's don't go up because the engine does not have to try as hard. And there are many arguements that can be given again SUVs that I am sure will present themselves however as stated above, SUVs sell well, extremely well, and will forever :)
  12. the first episode is, according to autoblog, testing the 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8, 2009 Cadillac CTS-V, and 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. I can't wait to see it! :)
  13. I can definately add this to my list of most pointless posts. What is your problem? I am sorry that my mother's vehicle is not the one that you want her to have but if you want another one for her then you can feel free to buy her one. What if a person simply likes SUVs? There are very few people in this world that buy an SUV simply for towing and/or hauling purposes. Honestly I think you need to get a life if the only thing you can find to do with your time is tell other people how pointless their vehicles are. And whats worse, you have no idea what you are talking about. The point of "Showroom" is to let people post pics and info about their vehicles. I see nothing in the description relating to crucifying people about what they drive. Get a life!
  14. no, never, absolutly, positively, 100%, NO! NO! NO! The only reason I would accept them merging is if they plan to un-merge once this economy scare is over. I do not want General Motors to have anything to do with Chrysler Co. I am a die-hard chevy fan and will be until the day I die. Ask the person who's post is above mine and he will confirm that this merger would upset me greatly. GM and Chysler have battled for years over sales and the car world would simply never be the same again, well for America anyway. Not only that, I do not like Chrysler vehicles. There is only 1 and only 1 vehicle they produce that I would consider putting in my garage and that is the Challenger. The other cars they make are worthless in my opinion and they would simply ruin General Motors. (please no hate posts please, this is simply from my opinion and hate posts clutter the threads). And since my opinion serves no purpose other than being only an opinion, there are other things at stake. The way that GM and Chrysler produce their vehicles, and by that I mean thier style of their vehicles, is very different. They could never mix all the styles together. And trying would most definately end up in epic battles over who's style is better. (*coughs* CHEVY *coughs*) What good would a car comapny be if all they do is argue all day? Nothing would ever get accomplished, so they should not consider anything except a possibility to continue their epic car battles. There is just no way that it would work. Absolutly, Positively, NO! NO! NO! well now that I have vented I do believe that I feel better :)
  15. I believe every word Porsche says. Sure, the GTR has launch control, AWD, and alot of power but there is just no way thta is could have beaten the 911 Turbo, let alone the 911 GT2. There is just absolutly no way. I think the Japanese are just over-rating their "Godzilla" car to an extremem. Yea, the GTR fans are happy that a new one is one the road now, but that is no reason for Nissan to get a big head over it. P.S. C/D re-tested the new Corvette ZR1's time earlier this week and found it to be a true time. In fact, every single specification that Chevrolet gave (0-60, quarter mile time, top speed, everything)were true. At least Chevrolet is honest. C/D is going to do the same thing with the GTR too but they have yet to release the time of which they will be doing so.
  16. I share the same opinion. a smart move for Chrysler Co. would be to put a V8 into the Viper instead of the current V10. This would mean better fuel economy and a cheaper cost to build the car. I am not even sure why they put a V10 in it to begin with because, they wanted to compete with the Corvette, which at that time, had a V8 in it for the last 39 years. But I suppose if the Viper gets killed off that will leave the foreign car competition wide open for the the Corvette, more specifically, the ZR1
  17. I rode in my cousin's 2008 coupe last weekend and loved it, I thought the interior was absolutly wonderful. But that is most likely because that is what we are used too over here. You guys are used to smaller engines but really nicer interiors whereas we are used to huge engines in everything we make, and an interior to match, but doesn't not neccessarily stand out. So where you come from really does make a difference i guess. Any one from UK I asked talked about how cheaply the Corvette is made, but pretty much any American you ask can only smile when the name Corvette is mentioned and has not a single negative word about it. P.S. thanks for the comment about my interior, it's not a stock job though. A 1977 model should have a solid color all throughout the interior and that woodgrain should definatley not be there. But I love the way it looks now and do plan to keep it that way :)
  18. alot of people think that it is expensive but really it isnt. In America, males are alot more to money for car insurance as opposed to females...It is even more for a sports car. But, this car is over 25 years old which means it can qualify for a classic car license plate, which is much cheaper on insurance. So it's actually better for younger guys to get a classic sports car to drive, which I know sounds funny but it's true lol :)
  19. seems as though they have made the front end to look more like the new GTR...looks pretty good to me :)
