  1. Like I said in my last post, I will be keeping this computer for a good deal of time (hopefully 4+ years), and I want it to last. Yeah, I could get 6GB now and then upgrade later, but what's the point? It's only $200 extra, and I don't have to install it myself. ;) All I really wanted to know was how well this setup could run upper-level games. Guess I should have made that more clear. >_>
  2. Americans as a whole don't consider VWs to be cool cars. VW is just a company that makes plain sedans and hatchbacks to the average non-petrolhead American. ;)
  3. Gaming. I'm afraid building a computer myself is out of the question. Between the fact that I wouldn't have any idea what I would be doing, and the fact that my dad would never agree to give me the money to build my own PC, it's just not practical. ;) I was hoping to play upper-level, highly graphical games (i.e. Crysis, Far Cry 2, GTAIV, CoD:WaW, etc.) at max graphics settings. :D I know 12GB seems like overkill, but I plan to keep this computer for quite a while, and I want it to last. :)
  4. Well, it looks like I'll be getting a new PC soon. :D I'll be donating my current Dell 1730 laptop as our family computer, and in exchange I get a brand new desktop. Now, I don't really know that much about hardware (a radeon what?!?), so I'd like some opinions on this PC setup (Please excuse the obvious fact that I copy and pasted the product summary :o) : Area-51® X58 Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-975 Extreme 3.33 GHz 8MB Cache Alienware P2 Chassis: Alienware® P2 Chassis with AlienIce™ 3.0 Video Cooling - Space Black AlienFX®: Alienware® AlienFX® System Lighting - Fusion Red Alienware P2 Chassis Upgrades: Alienware® Approved CPU Liquid Cooling + Acoustic Dampening Power Supply: Alienware® 1200 Watt Multi-GPU Approved Power Supply Graphics Processor: Single 1,792 MB NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 295 Memory: 12GB DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz - 6 x 2048MB Motherboard: Alienware® Approved Intel® X-58 Motherboard- Socket 1366 Core i7 Ready, Dual Triple Channel DDR3 Memory Operating System (Office software not included): Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium (64-bit Edition) with Service Pack 1 plus Free Windows 7 Upgrade Option System Drive: Single Drive Configuration - 1TB SATA 3Gb/s 7,200RPM 32MB Cache Optical Drives : Single Drive Configuration - 20X Dual-Layer Burner (DVD±RW) Enthusiast Essentials: Killer Xeno Pro Sound Card: High-Definition 7.1 Performance Audio Warranty: 1-Year AlienCare Onsite Service and 24/7 Toll-Free Phone Support Security Software: McAfee® VirusScan® Plus 9 -15-Month Subscription Factory Installed! 5. yoe_driver for me. Fantastic shot! :) *Goes off to buy Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood*
  6. So what makes it different than a G25? 4 more buttons and a few LEDs? And you lose the sequential shift mode? Doesn't sound like much of an upgrade to me.
  7. Well, it's certainly the most desirable VW, but is that really saying much? :cheeky:
  8. Lol, that's pretty cool. Thanks! :D
  9. Uhh....That's a screen shot from TDU, this is a thread to show off your scale models of cars. ;) What company makes those? They look great! :)
  10. I'd take the Land Rover any day. :)
  11. I'm getting some Déjà vu from "The Sexy Woman Thread". But I guess it's alright if y'all lay off posting pictures. ;)
  12. Is that a Lamborghini Cala? :) Speaking of Lamborghini.... The Lamborghini/Bertone Genesis. :cheeky:
  13. Whoa, I was just thinking of making a thread like this. Why bother with a stopwatch? It's 110% easier to use the "Test Run" feature of the multiplayer race "May the best man win". ;)
  14. Ah, good one. :) Most look horrible to Americans too. ;) 95% of people you see driving Cadillacs in the US are over 55 years old. To them, owning a Cadillac = you have arrived. :p
  15. This is kind of a no brainer (All be it not as no-brainer-ish as the Solstice vs SLK AMG one). The Veyron is the ultimate GT car, so naturally that's the one I'd choose. :) <- That's all I can say. :p
  16. Normaly I'm not a fan of Cadillac (Whoever designed them only had a ruler), but this is an exception: 1000hp V16 = Win.
  17. Lol of course I would pick the F15, but isn't this game meant for cars only? :p
  18. Sparta?! I'm going to have to use this one some time: :p
  19. Lol, no worries. :) It's what I get for makin' threads about my post count. ^_^

    1. Hai Mellors! Could you restore my post count plz? I believe it's supposed to be 519 or 520. Thx! :)

      1. Lol this is atleast the 4th time I've used this pic: http://i416.photobucket.com/albums/pp241/Cakeflour/Crysis-1.jpg?t=1250044648 Click Here for the 1920x1200 Hi-Res
