  1. And when you are lucky to have an RWD six cylinder petrol next to an RWD diesel, both with a six speed, you'll have even a bigger smile on the weekends...
  2. True dat. True dat. However, the lag will always be there, even minimal. Modern turbo engines really have no lag at all. Auto trannies also can hide the turbolag a bit. Turbo engines are mapped to make full torque in low and mid rpm's, so there's really no point in revving the engine to its redline as it used to be with NA engines. And for daily driving that's all you need - smashing the throttle without downshifting. ;) As for diesel convertibles, well, I would never ever buy one. That's just sacrilege!
  3. Yeah yeah, every type has its own pros and cons. But I think having a 6 cylinder diesel wagon as a daily family hauler (not that I want kids) and a weekend petrol car is... just nice. The right combo. 535d Touring & 911 GT3 RS, hmmm? When I rode in an X6 30d two years ago, I was quite surprised how good actually an I6 diesel sounded under load and higher rpm's both from outside and inside. A6 BiTDI does sound nice thanks to the gadgets, too. Is it just me or does the A5 sound like a GT-R.
  4. Now we can have a discussion whether a premium sedan that is not tuned by M, AMG or quattro is a "sporty" car...
  5. Yeah man, and how about discussing that with more qualified people than us AND of course parents or just people you trust... I mean, I'm sorry if I sound like a penis, but crying on the internet and calling people "ass" does not help anything. I remember you talking in the chatbox about your family problems in summer, we discussed it and tried to help you as much as we could so you definitely know we are not asses and idiots who are bathing with ducks and making other people hurt.
  6. Yeah, that's nice. I wonder if they are using BMW products... :mhmm:
  7. M Sport seats in cloth/Alcantara combo are the best! I see no point of getting black leather - it costs more and looks cheap in my opinion. Heated seats and xenons, you have those? By adding a sport package. Duh. €18 for all that? That's cheap. Dealerships have a pretty bad reputation among detailers. Really, some of the dealer-prepped cars I have seen on DW were totally scratched, so I see why a person like him don't trust them.
  8. Specs, pics, everything! And congrats. Welcome to the Turboduck BMW Club. :hi5:
  9. I always thoroughly rinse the radiator when I'm cleaning the 3er and does look quite good after 5 years and ~ 80k km. I guess this helps keeping it in a good shape.
  10. Isn't it called Mazdarosaurus by any chance?
  11. Well, ummm, what are they doing at 6:20? We can really live in a symbiotic relationship with the nature. Too bad we're sometimes fighting against the environment around us without thinking about other ways.
  12. Yeah. The community is pretty strong, way more than TDU's. Shoulda get back to it again, haha.
  13. Oh, that's a cool story. Started from the bottom and now we're here, huh. :cheeky: You don't have to tell me what Iron X is, I think I still have a half of bottle left. I'm lurking every day on Detailingworld, have read a lot of info there as well as watched videos (Larry Kosilla from Ammo NYC makes very very helpful ones, he's really good). It all depends on my parents whether I'll talk them into buying me something or not. We have recently bought a "new" car and the paint is in a really bad state. :/ Keep it up, man.
  14. I don't think TSW are soooo bad, but would go with something more even lighter and Japanese. :) Wheels aside, you've said that you had been detailing cars alongside doing other other jobs or whatever. I'm interested to hear from you how did you manage to get into the detailing, I mean if you've contacted a valeting/detailing company or started on your own. I am not experienced in it but I love all that detailing stuff and everything around it and have been thinking about starting a little business as my summer holidays job... If I ever buy some products and machins and all that lovely nonsense to get it started, which I'm certainly sure is not going to happen.
  15. It does. I'm turning 18 this year.
  16. This. They may earn a lot more than in other countries, but as far as I know it's so expensive there. And the government loves hybrids/electric vehicles. The tax is also calculated by CO2 and power output.
  17. You don't even have a driving license and yet you've got a Miata. Well played. Congrats and enjoy her very well!
