This is an old project for our beloved traffic bots... I finally had the courage to finalize it. The samples comes from various other games (GT Legends, GTR, Ford Racing, Clutch...). It is not exactly the kind of sounds that I would have liked ideally, however it's a good start. A new sound for the Firebird. It's not necessarily a real Firebird's sound but sounds cool, in my opinion. I'm not sure but it may have a small click here and there. Credits: G560, Turn10, EA Games. I am not very happy with this mod. Originally I didn't even want to release it but I decided to give it a go. Maybe a few people will like it. Sound is from Forza 3, but I used the "Off" samples from NFS Shift. It also has a custom startup taken from a video on youtube. You may have to turn up your speakers because I had to turn down the car's volume when recording in order not to sound distorted. This is one of my first sound mods, posted months ago in the betas and now back with almost no change. I don't make conversions anymore because it was cool to learn the basics but now I prefer to make my own samples (even from crappy Youtube videos!). This one comes from RFactor I think, I worked a lot on the original samples to enhance them and the downshifts are samples of mine made with a Youtube video, so it's only half a conversion :ppp. Kudos to the original modder anyway (I don't know who he is). A friend recently sent me some sounds from Forza 3 and I was pretty excited to the idea of converting some of those for TDU. But when I unpack the Forza files, I only get wav files corresponding to the "on" samples, I don't have any the "off" samples. For example, I want to extract the sound files of the Dino, so I unpack the file "6N0_Dino_Int.fsb" and I get this : - 1 EngA_00864.wav - 2 EngA_01554.wav - 3 EngA_01623.wav - 4 EngA_02690.wav - 5 EngA_03247.wav - 6 EngA_03710.wav - 7 EngA_04613.wav - 8 EngA_04910.wav - 9 EngA_05317.wav - 10 EngA_05993.wav - 11 EngA_06530.wav All these files correspond to different rpm's when you push the throttle ("on"), but there isn't any file corresponding to the sounds that you have when you release the throttle ("off"). So I can't do anything with those files for the moment :((( Anyone knows how/where to get the missing samples and why they aren't unpacked normally like the others are?

Tool created Carrera GT very recently, so I've done this sound. And in my opinion it is surely one of the greatest sounds I've ever made. It's so loud and it screams beautifully at redline. So, sound earlier than a mod? Yes, cause thanks to T3hReaper, we've had a pre-release version, so we could record preview movie and release the sound to you. This sound revs only to 7k rpm. So you can put it on RUF rTurbo and RT12. When Tool will release GT3 RS, I'll release a little bit different sound based on RGT, so it will rev up to 8k rpm! It's done now, I'm just waiting for Tool. It's because I think GT3 RS fits well on RGT, because it hasn't got a Turbocharger. It'll be for GT3 RS and RSR.

Credits: EA Games(V1.0), MapleCars(V2.0) Yes, I know...sounds pretty similar to fifomaniak's Reventon but, anyway, the cars sound the same in Shift and have the same engine in real life(correct me if I'm wrong). Hopefully, you'll enjoy it. Oh no WHO LET THE BULL OUT? V2.0: Huge disappointment. These samples are just impossible to fix. I tried adding more bass or increasing volume but they sounded very distorted and low quality. All this time since I announced it as a WIP I've been fixing it's bugs. Sorry guys, but this is the best that I can get from these samples. Anyway enjoy it.
