GTA IV G25 Setup

Hmmmm, I need help. They say that you can use the G25 with GTA IV version 1.002 or whatever it is, but you have to use the profiler. That has to be the most confusing program I have on my computer. And the help guide is useless, I don't want to make text in notepad with my clutch pedal. Help? Google failed me :(

TBH the physics/time spent in a car is hardly worth setting up a wheel for. I doubt there will be any ForceFeedback and the kind of things we do on GTA just isn't worthy of a wheel. How will you shoot at the annoying rocketSMG people?

You could, however, do what David and I did, a while back :D We shared a heli up to the "Elevated" position, jumped out, Grabbed a sniper rifle each, and just picked all the other guys off with extreme ease! So much fun!

Haha. I agree that was epic fun. I'm sure that was the night I was on to 5 in the morning and got in trouble the following day. :D

How to use the logitech g25 wheel with gta4

you can use the g25 with gta4 and it isn't that difficult to set up.

This profile was set up for gta3 but it works on gta4 as well....the downside is none of the wheel buttons work and there is no force feedback but the spring in the wheel puts pressure on it so there is weight when you turn left and right. and the pedals work like analog which is much better then pressing a button or keyboard key and having the gas full throttle or full brake. its much more enjoyable to drive.

What I do is rest the keyboard on my lap. when outside a car i play the game with the keyboard and mouse, and when i step into a car i use the wheel and pedals driving with in car view. showing the hood. i drive with one hand and use the mouse to shoot and look around. this works really well for me.

Here are the instructions to get it to work.

1... Copy and paste the yellow text into a text editor (notepad, wordpad)

2...save the file into a new folder. open the folder make a copy of the file and paste it in the same folder. now you should have 2 copies.

3...right click on one of the files and click rename... you can name it whatever you want whats important is you add the extension .wgp (yourfilename.wgp)

4...open logitech profiler.

5...click profile (top left corner)

6...click import

7...a dialog box will open browse to the .wgp file you just created click the file then click open. be sure to chose the .wgp file and not the .txt file

8...A new dialog box should have opened asking you for the games name. and which executable file to start the game....

by default it will name it grand theft auto III which makes no difference. but you can change it if you like.....next browse to the games executable file. (example....C:/program files/rockstar games/ grand theft auto IV/launchGTAIV) click launchGTAIV, then click open to close the dialog box. click ok and your done.

9... Finally you have to launch the game in logitech profiler for the wheel to work.......click PLAY GRANT THEFT AUT... (third choice down in blue) that should be it ENJOY!!
