MSN Help Anyone?

Ok today I tried to get on Windows Live Messenger and I got a message saying: We can't sign you in to Windows Live Messenger

 

Signing In to Windows Live Messenger failed because the service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.

So I tried to sign in on the old MSN(Windows Messenger) and It worked. After that a friend decided to sign in(On Windows Live messenger) on my computer with his email and it worked fine. So i'm stumped. Help anyone? Please?:(

Sometimes it randomly doesn't work, just try a few times and it will normally work then :)

The server your account is stored on could be down, or under going maintenance or something along those lines. Best off trying in a few hours or tomorrow. Should be fine then.

I also get an error while trying to sign in sometimes, try and shut down MSN completely, wait a few seconds and try again. Usually works for me. ;)

Nope... It still doesn't work... I tried what Andrez said and that ddin't work either:( help:(

Maybe your firewall or antivirus feels like blocking MSN for some reason... Have you had any antivirus updates recently?

Is your Internet Explorer set to "Work Offline", If so MSN wont work, you'll need to turn that off.

Click file, and then go to the bottom, just above where it says exit, if work offline is clicked, it wont work :)

well about 2-3 days ago I got a messaged when I started my PC and it said it wanted to update my computer. I clicked update later 3 times and then I went to go eat and forgot about it. I heard my PC shut down then(I think) turn back on. Would that have caused the problem?
