HDVideo : SLR vs. Murcielago Chase [WIP] - Feedback for Improvement Wanted, please! [V1.2 - Update!]

As said in the title, this is a WIP - made this in a few hours yesterday.

 

I need someone else to be a co-driver for the 2 car shots (But I'll organise who). However I would like feedback on how the current editing can be improved. The video will be longer, with the chase filling up the rest of the video.

 

Havn't decided WHY the cars are racing / in a chase =p They just are for now.

I also make videos, but since i can't go online.. i can't make GOOD videos.. but caremuch? xD

 

Editing:

Maybe you can focus it black points (like Top Gear for example).

The song is good. Just a slow motion show off.

Cruising around is fun, but on this camera view it can be a lil bored :o

 

Storyboard:

Maybe you can fit them in chasing eatchother, and not a runoff of the Lambo, but actually having a (Fast 'nd Furious) dragrace.

 

Driving to the firetower or something..

And there are some more points to discus about.. but that's not important.

 

Overall, it's a good video Ice. Nice imagination you have. It s*cks that I can't go online, i'd love to drive with you (Cars.. do not think bad now) haha.

:thumbsup: How did I not spot that before?! Looks like I'll have to re-film and edit that bit. Ergh.

I couldn't work out what the split-screen needed. To emphasise a chase. So I will try your idea, and it's relatively easy to do too :F

Yeah, This morning I've been fiddling with new angles and breaking the 'nose cam' section up. I'll get some drive-bys and I've filmed some over-head (helicopter) shots in a race.

Anyone else urging to give comments?? Please ;)

 

Stuff done:

- added more contrast to cinematic shots to give more life and depth

- added credits at beginning of video

- rendered in a slightly higher quality format

- changed start and cut position of beginning SLR drive

- added more instructions (to be replaced by video)

- added helicopter shots

- added more tail and nose shots

- removed engine noise while music is on

- increased bass and grunt of SLR sound

- adjusted EQ of Murcielago engine sound

- added WIP Top Gear style black fading border

- increased contrast of driving shots, for more depth

- removed rock music during chase

- filmed more chansing down motorway, with only 1 car, however not edited it in

 

Still to do:

- extend chase (biiiiiig job :()

- turn instructions into video

- organise to meet up with someone to film chasing

- tweek Top Gear style black border fading

 

e: Oh yeah, the updated one is uploading, should be finsihed uploading and on my profile in 1:44hrs + server converting time. So i'll possibly be asleep by then.

That's just stunning work Iced! :eek:

Love all the helicopter shots at the beginning, have no idea how you did those! The music fits in really good aswell. ;) The chase itself is extremely well made and I can't even imagine how much work went into it. xD

The only thing I could see was the cursor in the beginning that you had already noticed. :p Also, those driver instruction thingys was kinda confusing IMO. I'm not sure about the purpose, but they stayed long enough that I had to notice them, but not long enough that I could actually read them sometimes.

Otherwise this was just awesome Iced. Great work! :D

I think the helicopter shots are from the intro. Great work as always Iced.

The instructions are for me basically. So I know what's going in the video. The idea is to replace the instructions with the specific driving sequence instructed :p.

 

And the helicopter ones (with the cars in) are done on multiplayer races and stretched outwards so you don't see the TDU controls for replays. The ones with just the city and beaches are indeed from the intro.

 

And thanks :) Yeah the cursors should be gone soon.

in the beggining - the second bumper cam shot of your car running through the grass at 0:13 seconds, you left the audio on so you can hear the car smashing and rumbling over the grass
