I'm trying to make a Nissan GTR sound mod out of a clip from Youtube. The different sound clips have to loop properly, right? I've been stuck on the idle sound because everytime it loops there's a slight 'click' at the start which I can't seem to get rid of. Any help?

Hi there, this is my first message here and i'm not very familiar with english speaking though. So please, excuse me for mistakes I'd do...

 

To create a non-clipped loop I can bring you a tip:

1) Import your "linear" sample ( non pitched ) into Audacity.

2) Cut the sample in the middle.

3) Put the 2nd part of the sample before the 1st part.

4) make a smooth cross-fade between the 2nd part ( now on the left ) and the 1st part ( now on the right )

5) listen to you new sample, it shouldn't clip anymore.

 

This is an scheme that would help:

Sample : oOoAaA

Cut : oOo|AaA

Move : AaA|oOo

Crossfade : AaAoOo
