I have the megapack and I've reinstalled TDU several times. Now when I run the game, it goes through the Atari and Eden screens, but then the screen turns black and nothing else happens. What causes this?

I changed "Common_car.bnk", database files and camera through TDU Modding tools, and I installed 4 car mods. I already tried replacing them all with the original files, but the game still didn't work. Then I reinstalled the game, but the same thing happened.

I have had this problem as well the only way that i found that worked was to reinstall windows, but i can do this very quick as i do this at least once a month. Also you should just add 1 file at a time so that you no which ones work.

The same thing has happened to me, i made all the back ups of the files, i installed some mods, it still worked fine but once i installed the wrx http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=13136 the game just crashed. So after that i took all the mods off and replace them with the originals but then the game started crashing. Then i tried reinstalling it and it came up with error 1607 but i fixxed that then when i went to play it, it didnt even get to the home screen before crashing. Could someone please help me since i love this game and will be pissed off if the game wont work again.

I'm considering uninstalling windows, but what will that do to my computer? What files will I lose?

If you format your computer, you will lose everything.

Did you try to uninstall TDU with Revo Uninstaller yet?

Well, guess what? I just tried revo last night. I uninstalled TDU, then reinstalled it, installed the megapack, and it STILL didn't work!!! :sulk: Now what?

Buy a portable harddrive, back everything important up, format your computer and be happy. ;)

Anyway I believe Vista creates a Windows "Old" folder which contains everything from what you had before the reinstall so you should be fine, but don't quote me on that.
