TDU1; Direct2Drive Win7

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has had this problem. I downloaded TDU from D2D, patched it to 1.66a and just keep getting a "no cd inserted" securom error when trying to load it. This is Win7 64 bit but I don't know as if it matters. Have used the no cd hacks which get me in the menu of the game but I'm constantly prompted to "update to a newer version" if I want to play online...

No sign of any place to put my cd key in... eek.gif

Thanks,

 So what I did wrong was that I installed TDU right from the open zip or rar.

What I didn't do was unpack the files into a directory called "TDU install" (or whatever) and then run the setup.exe. ...Why it matters, I'm not sure, but right after the install this time around (after unpacking the files in it's own dir.) I was prompted for a D2D activation code.

Of course this means that I now have two 3.6GB TDU directories... nevermind the 3.6GB zip. LOL. Pain in the arse.

[mod edit:] Please do not swear or use asterisk's to mimic swearing, thanks.
