Permanently Disabling the "New Game" function???

OK this is really starting to get on my nerves, I've now lost my game save 3 times in the last 4 or 5 days going in and out of the game when testing different cameras and IK's.

 

Normally with other games I could use a file recovery app to get the saves back, but with TDU, the original save isn't deleted, it's overwritten so there's nothing to recover, plus it deletes all the photo mode stuff and all the extra Radio stations I had set up.

 

Is there a way to disable the New Game option at all???
