Crashing after start up logos (Solved)

Was installing car mods and license plates. Some of the cars I tried to install I found out during the auto install that I have to have the community patch installed, so I put the original files back into the game and then started up the the game. The game now crashes to the desktop after the startup Bnk video or after I skip it (both of these I don't ever get to see the game menu).

I'm not sure what is causing the game to crash. I put the originals back into the game of all the mods I installed right before my game started crashing. I even installed my backup of the Bnk1.map file.

Any idea as to what could be causing this? Maybe some file got messed up, what files would cause the game to crash here?

Your database files are corrupted so what normally works is you need to either install or uninstall one of the 1.67/68 patches. They have a new database integrated so it will replace your faulty one. If you already have it installed, uninstall the patch as it will replace with the original 1.66 database.

 

If you don't know how to uninstall or install them, it is all in the installer (Find it here)

- You can also repair your TDU install by this patch if you got a conflict into your Database after installing mods which have a wrong install program.

I don't have the community patch like I said earlier, but now I more know what might be messed up and I think I can figure it out. thanks

Ok. Sorry missed that bit. I don't think that the 1.66A would have a uninstall option but I guess you could just try and over-install it again? Other than that, the community patch is the only method I know. Anyway, good luck with fixing it :)

When I try to just install the patch again it just says it's already installed.

I installed a backup of DB.bnk and now the game's working. =)
