So, I was searching for ways to do custom paintjobs using image editing programs, and I found out the .sti files for the paintjobs can't be opened, as opposed to the beta, where they could be edited. Does somebody knows what changed, so we can make them editable again?

since the game checks your files when loading, would a modified .sti folder even make it past the checker? or would it shut the game down until that folder is fixed?

The launcher checks them, not the game. If you modify the files after you have run the launcher, it would work.

You sure about that ?

So i´m able to move hole folders after the check ? I don't think so.

How about you pick a colour and sticker the whole car, i have done it with my enzo.

When stickering the car you might see some spots that look like it cant be painted/stickered, but when driving your car or viewing it in your garage it doesnt show the imperfections.

Not really. The paintjobs are not saved in the servers, since they are in the save files. Which means they can't actually check the files because they don't have a file on their servers to compare with the one in your PC. So the check won't be a problem.

How do other players see your custom paint-job if they're not on the servers? I wouldn't have thought the game would be P2P.

Surprisingly enough, it is. Didn't you ever notice how the other players' custom paintjobs load when you see them?

Mine don't. mostly because my router was designed for games like TDU.

BT HomoHub2.

Fixed that for you. :cheeky:

I'm on BT and I replaced the Homohub with a Belkin router ages ago. Much better.

Also, are we talking about editing paintjobs you've done on your cars in the sticker shop, or the paintjobs of the character cars?

I'd love to edit the paintjobs on the character cars... would make them more bearable.
