No problem. :)

In theory, those who've recently joined could benefit by using the second account to progress through more races quicker and overtake their main team, then swap around for the next main season. Also can take more risks to see how things eventuate, and gain experience in managing a 2-car team.

I'm not sure if anyone noticed the post in the iGP website but to make things a little more fair for the newer guys we'll be prohibiting KERS and DRS for Season 1. Come Season 2 we can all start using it.

The B league now has 5 teams (10 drivers), and the first race is due to go ahead on Monday.

After 4 races in our first week in the B league here are the standings:

I've barely put the minimum requirements in for these races and not using the 2D viewer is a disadvantage but I've gained some valuable insights into managing a 2-car team. Remember the main league will switch to 2 cars in the second series.

I haven't been doing any setups or strategy for the B series last week but I should probably have another look now since it's now ahead of the main game, so a good way to practice some various strategies. Both my B drivers suck though.

With a few races to go it's time to start thinking about the next season and here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. Extending contracts - if you don't do this *before* the staff members last race with you, they leave - you may need to do this or you might want to hire someone new.

2. Components - if you're not fighting for a position in the championship you might want to move the slider to start focusing on developing next years components.

3. Prizes - I've been told (thanks to the B league season completion) that the championship winner receives a voucher for 1 free month of iRacing. I already have an active subscription so there might be one up for grabs for you lot...

4. 2nd driver - the plan is for next season to feature 2 cars/drivers. So that's another person you'll have to hire. Car building costs double and you may need up to double the amount of engineers and mechanics.

5. Software upgrade - my biggest advantage goes down the loo since the 2D viewer will be made available to everyone for free - meaning you can all see and manage your tyre temperatures live.

iGP Manager has released the latest details surrounding the next update for the web-based title that is set to improve and expand on various areas of the game.

One of those changes means that once the pre-race preparations are locked the sim will immediately move to qualifying and then race which in doing so is said to reduce the chance of weather changing from the time you completely your car setup and also giving more time for race preparation.

Another new feature of the coming update is to the free race viewer changes include taking the existing 2D viewer and converting it for use for free players, minus the sound and “d overview. This will allow Free-to-play users to access all the same data about their cars such as tyre temperatures which are available in the premium 2D Pack. We certainly hope that you will support iGP by upgrading to the premium viewer but we expect you will find the update to the free viewer to be substantial.

Current plans are for the latest update for iGP Manager to be rolled out on Saturday March 16th with many exciting features said to be in the works for future updates.

Other changes in the latest update:

Reduce instances driver gets held up by traffic in unrealistic manner

Managers can tell how wet the track actually is during the race

2D Pack now displays remaining KERS, current tyre temperatures, and compounds of all tyres

Various bug fixes

I hope you're not going to do a Camel on us

What, not have enough time to play this? I stopped when someone close was quite ill for a few weeks and then after that I started doing overtime most Sundays(yay money).

If it was run on a day and time that I could do then I'd play it.

You don't have to be online for the race? You can still set up and enter the race??

The software upgrade now means that all users can see their own (and everyone else's) tyre selection and temperature gague on the new timing screen

As you can see it was a great race, with rain changing things up with only 2 laps to go.

And with 3 races to go there's still plenty to play for

Free players don't actually get the 2D viewer, what they now get is a screen that looks identical to the 2D viewer except there's no track map and car icons going around, just a grey background, but they get all the extra info and controls now.
