List here your favorite FSX Addons either Payware or Freeware.

 

Please list if its Payware or Freeware and if Freeware give links to where others can get that addon!

Here is my list

 

REX Essentials + OverDrive (Environment addon that basically adds much better clouds, Water and weather effects into your FSX!) PAYWARE!

 

EZdok (Set camera positions for different aircraft, Can even add camera shake and head movement) PAYWARE!

 

ENB Series (Better lighting effects) FREEWARE! Think this uses the basic GTASA mod with different settings, Not sure where i got mine from will find it in a bit and link later!

A2A Simulations have some of the best planes for FSX.

 

ORBX/FTX for some of the best scenery.

 

Both are Payware, but worth it.

Freeware (i consider this an addon)

OpenControl lets you put various plane controls and gauges on your IOS/Android/Windows device - OpenControl

 

If you fly online in a server listed on FSOpen then you might want to check out Pilot Assistant - Pilot Assistant

 

And if you want to try ATC then you'll want Flight Strip - Flight Strip Software

 

Free website registration might be required for the last two apps.

Just a point with ORBX regional addons:

 

You must disable that region in FTX Central when flying outside of this region.

 

So if flying between regions you must save the flight close FSX and then load the relevant region or select default and load FSX again. If you don't do this you get huge errors with Autogen as ORBX scenery replaces this with their own.

 

Hopefully with the release of Orbx Global due to be released soon this will eliminate these errors.

 

ORBX is great in those regional flights but anything more you will need to go through the hassel of saving and closing fsx.

Installed a few of my addons gonna try compatibility with a few others at some point! Its looking good and performing well atm!
