i'm having an subscription to a car magazine, and they included a free convertible special this time

 

there is a test in it with a opel gt

 

but as i see, an Opel GT is a Saturn Sky in TDU

 

i thought opel was vauxhall in UK and USA

What about US. I think that is the question that is confusing people. Its GM which is Amereican (I think)

 

How it works over there I don't know, anyone know or can you not buy Vauxhalls / Opels over in the US.

GM is GM in the USA, look at the Holden Monaro aka Pontiac GTO and aka Vauxhall Monaro. Basically they share there models and cars over the entire range The Opel GT or Vauxhall GT is the Saturn Sky, that's it, so it's essentially US all over which means it will not be on a par with the original unfortunately which was tuned in handling and styled by Lotus.

 

Saturn is like the Opel/Vauxhall we all know.

i even have a picture @ home on my computer (using a comp @ work right now to post) of when they introduced the Opel GT. i saved it cuz it was exactly like the Sky

Theres also the Pontiac Solstice in the US. It looks a little different, but is based on the same car.

 

I don't know how it is over there, but we've got about 4 GM companies over here. Pontiac, Saturn, Chevrolet, and GMC. Its crazy how they just tag a car under a different name and logo and sell it for a completely different price.
