I think that this is the name of this time trial race its doing my head in has anybody got any tips on how i can do this race

I think you mean Tantalus ... do a search on the forum ... many people including me have suggested cars to use

 

I think I used either the Ford GT or the Murci ... just take it easy and clean through the mountain and then blast the last

On a few you'll find my suggestion of using a RUF or Gallardo and not following the GPS when you get to the city.
