Dunno if there was a thread about this but there is this microsoft deal for student about getting office for £40. I have a few questions if anyone has it or knows it.

1. If you buy it can you transfer it to another computer or hard drive becouse mine is allways dieing and I don't want to loose the £40 program when it would cost £600 to get it again (which i wouldn't do)?

2. Does it come as a disk or a download?

3. Can you install it on more than one PC?

Hopfully someone can help, thanks.

It should come on a disk but it may not, you will be able to put it on another computer but this ma be against the terms and conditions but they wont catch you if you do and if it comes as a download it is easy to burn onto a disk. Hope this helps

Thanks, you need to activate the software first before you can use it, won't this be a problem if on two pc, i don't want to put the software on another computer for about a year and my hard drive will probably brake so will need to re-install it again.

the only Microsoft things I have had to activate are the operating systems and i didn't have to activate my edition of office but this one may be different

Thanks again, checked that out but I've found a microsoft blog that talks about it. You can install on two computers as long as there owned by the student and you re-install on PC's you just have to un-activate the software and you need to ring them if a hard-drive dies.

LOOL usually when you see ads like that, it's fake, sending you a shirt with a picture of it. One of my friends got a free iPod from ads like that and she got a shirt with an iPod on it. LOL

If you exceed the installation limit, you just say your HDD died and they give you another install code. ROFL

Nice, this isn't fake though becouse it was one sent to everyone by our college and there is a link to it on microsofts website. Also downloaded the trial of the website which now works fine thanksfully, downloaded it again.
