The official website for the anime version of Ika Musume has recently updated itself with an announcement stating that an entirely new mini side-story called “Mini Ika Musume” will be bundled together with the fifth and sixth volume of the Blu-Ray and DVD discs.

Not much information regarding what “Mini Ika Musume” is really about (ya’know, the plot and all), but what is definitely clear is that you’ll see the chibi version of Ika-chan everywhere in the side-story, and this is probably inspired by the chibi versions of her that appears in the anime every here and then.

The first of the side-story will be available in Spring next year.
