Nige ... there were quite a few Puntos there ... mainly modded ... a few Coupes ... a few Pandas (I even took a piccie of them) ... and lots of 500s (old and new)

 

Oh and an update ... the GT40 was original.

 

And one for Diablo/God/Egg/whateveryourcallingyourselfnextinyourextendedstintofrandomness

 

I've asked a few peeps on the Alfa forum if they have a good piccie of the orange diablo

Tell me where it is and I'll take my scabby 2002 Punto along. It's a 1.2 Active, 5 door. In metallic red with a nice coating of mud, totally factory spec. (Except for the uglydoll hanging from the mirror, and the home-made headlight mount on the left headlight after I hit a pheasant at about 60mph... :oook:)

There were quite a few new 500s on show ... including some with large bodykits ... and LPG conversion !

 

As to the 'show' itself ... it's an event organised by a magazine called "Auto Italia" ... you can find it on the interweb ... they do 2 shows a year, spring and autumn ... the spring one was at Stanford Hall, was also the AROC national event and had 3 strange blokes turn up at it with some tv cameras ... this one was down at Gaydon and was the main event for the Lamborghini Club of GB ...

 

so next shows won't be till 2009 now ...

it's the firing order of a Diablo V12 ... and it's cast into the head of the engine ... cool isn't it !

 

I took it as I knew Diablo/God/Egg used to have the firing order on his profile!

Now rly, every cylinder has a number 1, 2 ... 11, 12. So if the firing order is 7 - 2 - 8 - 3 (random), in cylinder 7 the fuel/air mixture explodes (the combustion is made) , then in cylinder 2 and then 8 ... U got it, right?

Why bother with casting the firing order into the top of the engine ?

 

You're asking Why Lamborghini ... master of being flash ... put the Firing Order there ?

 

I think the answer is ...

And the Lamborghini V12 is muted to be one of THE best engines ever built
