Lotus Elise Redline Gauge Mod.

This is one of the most simple mods anyone could do, but I guess we all have to start somewhere eh? This mod adds a redline and a "high turbo" yellowline (For use of the correct phrase...) where you get that little extra boost between 7k RPM and 8k RPM. I have also added a colour Lotus logo where the old greyscale one used to be.

Nice, but one thing: The Elise isn't turbocharged :p. And I've never heard of getting "more boost" from 7000rpm to 8000rpm. Can someone explain?

Well, i've noticed you get more torque between 7k and 8k

Well that's not entirely true...

The turbo only works at it's full between 3000-5500 RPM (for example, differs with various turbo sizes) and from those "ultimate" RPM's the turbo looses effect the higher RPM you get. Altho this isn't true in TDU since it works on it's full all the time in the game.

quit hating!!! I believed i experienced a boost in torque in the rev range that's why it's there. If it isn't at least it looks alright.

We're not trying to hate, it's just not all cars get a torque boost between 7000rpm and 8000rpm, and the yellow line is not there for that, it's there for the most convenient time to shift because after about 7000/7500rpm a lot of cars don't produce much power.

To be honest i don't think i've ever driven that car xD Only the more powerful one of the two Elises.

Variable[/color][/u] valve timing and lift Electronic Control is an electronic and mechanical system in a majority of Honda motors that allows the engine to effectively have multiple camshafts. As the engine moves into different rpm ranges, the engine's computer can activate alternate lobes on the camshaft and change the cam's timing. In this way, the engine gets the best features of low-speed and high-speed camshafts in the same engine. So this is kind of a simular case for the lotus, As it climbs higher in the rpm, It start's to churn out more torque. Making the car faster.

 

 

That makes this game pretty damn accurate, That or your just drafting traffic car's of course.:lol:
