    It's a nice trio of months after another what with The Crew in September, DRIVECLUB in October and Project CARS in November. And if you consider Forza Horizon 2 could come in Oct/Nov things get interesting!

    [headline]DRIVECLUB COMING OCTOBER 7th - 10th[/headline] DRIVECLUB is actually coming! No it's true, Sony have released a brand new trailer showing off some truly gorgeous visuals of the cars along with some rather glorious ambient features including a rather sublime Aurora moment. The PS4 launch title coming only 11 months later than planned (:D) will still feature a slightly-trimmed down PS Plus version and damn are we hoping that it has indeed been worth this wait.     You can use anything but obviously the best experience is with a proper wheel and pedals setup, but that's not to say you can't have fun if you use anything else. :)

    This new trailer shows a large part of what has culminated over the many years of development this game has been in production, and now as we edge ever faster through the year of 2014 the official media drops are starting to happen and as the old saying goes; good things come to those who wait. And this is none ever truer than Project CARS from Slightly Mad Studios. Having been watching this game for many years it's now quite remarkable to think that this game is actually coming and it is truly going to be one hell of an introduction for this brand new franchise that will easily take-on the big names in their domain. Can honestly see this game being the one you switch between with The Crew.

    Blurring the dash seems nuts to me, in reality you are mainly focussing on the road for the most part but in racing as well as real-life you sometimes have a glance at your instruments to see what's going on, games can't follow your eyes so having this always blurred at a certain speeds just seems more an effect than anything worthwhile. You could be parked up and just shake your head to get the same experience after all, so this game like some others is speedist!

    I'm hoping it flows more to the Race Driver games than GRID, I honestly did not feel that series at all. Far too much centre pivot on the handling imo.

    Well this certainly was a nice surprise to see, I'm liking their talk about going back to the days of ToCA and such, and the mentions of the more authentic handling. Throw in a career mode that you get to choose rather than having to take a bite out of many factors even those you may hate and it's sounding a much better game than before. Good to see the 5% are able to use their favourite views again and that there is many mentions of real locations. Trailer certainly showed the right stuff, it's all down to just how it plays now and if that spark of old can be reignited once again!

    Hey Martin, thanks for stopping by. :) It's great to see the many positive responses from people about this game, especially those of whom are passionate about titles like this and had a real soft-spot for the original Test Drive Unlimited. They really did seem to have a direction they wanted to follow and I guess after TDU they weren't given the feeling that they could go with it and so decided to go it alone. Brave and gutsy and man they have taken their time with it but from all the recent press and such it certainly appears that it is going to be worth it. Just hoping they continue pushing on right up to going Gold and they don't think "Right they like it, job done. Whose for more Pizza?!" :lol:

    It's a 50/50 move and whichever way it went both would feel hard done and want it looked at. Turkington did the same kind of thing to Giovanardi back in 2006 at the same track (it's on youtube) so it would be quite ironic for him to feel really put out with this. Shedden was in front at the entrance to the chicane and the speed he was pulling off in that Honda probably would have meant a drag to the line on the inside for the final stretch would have netted him the win as he would have been able to push the BMW onto the grass. It's a racing incident in my eyes, however I can't help feeling that if that was Plato I would actually be calling for his head, so maybe I have no impartiality to this after all. :hmmm:
