  1. It's showing for me but that might be because I made your entry post switch to an attached image rather than displayed inline and so it will show for me. (I can see it and others are not working when viewing as a non-member though) I don't know why it shows the text links with certain attachments. I can see what is happening with it as the text links show the same info as another attachment before it but, the link is different so I'm confused. I'll take a look at it and see if I can work it out though. Your best bet is to upload to the Gallery rather than attach if you have the space. :) @robillard3381 Interesting question, we usually say that a double winner cannot state the theme but have nothing in regards to someone who did not win who stated the last theme who then goes on to win. See, you guys are always throwing new things all the time that were never thought of! :susp: I think it's only right in this instance that you do get to pick though, as you did win and were not the previous winner so that rule doesn't apply here. If you want a free round then that's fine. Just let me know! :cool:
  2. @Eeshan Haha it is a baptism of a fire type thing that most members will experience. @Ryzza5 you could have simply made a request for miserable users to have an option to disable everything festive instead of going the ABP method but hey we know how you love to show how much of a sad act you are, whenever you can. :twisted:
  3. The votes have been counted and verified, and it is a big congratulations to robillard3381 for his quite excellent stationary Porsche on a wet track shot. Closely followed by nfsMIB's RUF playing on some icy roads, with mau92 taking the bronze with his supercar spotter-esque shot of a Porsche racing along the open road. Well done to you all and to everyone else who put an entry in and thanks again to all the voters who made the poll fun to watch! :p
  4. Yeah that's a good suggestion with DRIVER: San Francisco. It can be cool to just drive around in that game. Welcome to the :duck: uhhh tea drinking birdbrain. :D
  5. Forza Horizon 3 Gets The i8 The announcement of a BMW coming to January’s Car Pack for Forza Horizon 3 last week had many looking for clues as to what it might be. And with those that could be found, it was concluded that the most likely candidate would be the i8 hybrid sportscar. Well that was the right call, as Turn 10 put to rest and confirmed what the “most requested BMW” was, with the posting of an in-game image of a BMW i8, on their Facebook and twitter. A release date of January 3rd has been stated for the pack and the i8 will be front and centre in a new Forzathon challenge to kick off the new year.
  6. Get GRID Free on PC A free game is always a good thing to see and when it is one that is as good as the original GRID by Codemasters, it is definitely one to snap up. Even if you gave it a miss when it was released more than eight years ago! Edging more heavily on the arcade side of play, GRID was a return to form for Codies. And the variety of different motorsports represented within meant that there was something there for most fans, including a fun drift mode. Available now on Humble Bundle for a limited period, the game may have aged and it has most certainly been surpassed by its successors and others, but it costs absolutely nothing, and will provide anywhere from 5 mins of disgust to hours of thrilling fun.
  7. Nice work on the 5, really suits that livery (what doesn't really?)
  8. Time For Porsche Pack Vol. 3 Well here we are, the third and final Porsche Pack for Assetto Corsa is released today for PC. Bringing the phenomenal Porsche DLC program for the title to its climax. For a while it felt like we were only hearing about Porsche coming to the game at some point from Kunos Simulazioni, and now, here we are – it’s done, it’s finished, and there is a whole load of fine virtual Porsche metal out there for players to enjoy. Containing another set of models that will make many an enthusiast beam a smile, such as the 908 LH and 917 K, and providing those who have more of a penchant for modern metal, the 911 R and Le Mans racing 919 Hybrid 2016. Every player should be able to find something in here that they will like. Assetto Corsa – Porsche Pack Volume 3 Porsche 919 Hybrid 2016 LeMans configuration Porsche 908 Lang Heck (Long Tail) Porsche 917 K Porsche 911 R (991) Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 R 2016 Porsche 911 Turbo S (991) Earlier lists included the 911 RSR 2017 with the third pack, but just days before the pack was due for release, it was announced that Kunos were delaying the car so that they could take more time to reproduce it accurately. The Turbo S was brought in to take its slot and now the RSR 2017 will be released as a free upgrade to Volume 3 in January. As has become common for those on console, a nice long wait is on the cards for them, as even though Kunos did mention a “December” release a couple of months ago, that has unfortunately slipped and now more Porsche will not hit until January when Volume 2 is set to release. However it will be joined with the Red Pack when it does, so every cloud eh! This third and final time it is the turn of the Macan Turbo. Speaking of which, this latest one takes the PC up to version 1.11 where along with the bug fixes and improvements is an all-new Championship gameplay mode. Allowing players to create their own championships with options such as selecting the cars, tracks, laps, points, rules and compete against the AI. 9. Changed this thread to be a general car quiz thread and added another good one from Classic & Performance Car. Feel free to post your own and we will add them to the OP for easy finding. Thanks!
  10. Santa Claus is Driving Through Town As loads of kids all across the world get super hyper because Santa will be stopping by their homes in less than a week, it is good to see Santa himself trying out new ways of delivering those presents. In the footage captured by TheSUPERCARDRIVER while Santa was on a stop off in the UK, we see the jolly old fellow pulling a fast one by taking some presents out in a bright as Rudolph’s nose red Ferrari Enzo. The V12 engine cover making light work of carrying a bunch of wrapped up gifts that will be making their way under some Christmas trees this December 25th. Tootling about town and hitting the open roads, he opens up the Enzo's taps a bit and it’s clear to see from the expression that he is thoroughly enjoying himself while doing so. And who could blame him, he is behind the wheel of one of the ultimate Ferraris after all! It’s unlikely though that even with a 217 mph top speed, that the Enzo will replace those wonderful and magic reindeer and sleigh from being the vehicle of choice for carrying out the big Christmas delivery, but with the amount of work Mr Claus will be putting in this weekend, we can easily allow him a bit of showboating and grandeur before he sets out for the main event.
  11. [headline]You Raaaaaannnnggg![/headline] We are always looking for ways to get you guys to be able to interact with one another in a more seamless fashion and we think this is one way that will definitely help with that. This new plugin we have installed allows you to mention other members by using [B]@MEMBERNAME[/B] (have to know their name) or using the newly created [B][plain][MENTION]MEMBERNAME[/MENTION][/plain][/B] bbcode or [B][plain]@OP:[/plain][/B] (needs the ':' to mention the original topic creator [I](OP = original post[er][/I]). This notifies the member's you've mentioned that you have done so and shows them a brief excerpt of the text that surrounds it on their [I]Profile[/I]. Also note that the mention will only show when the post is submitted, not at preview. [U]Example:[/U] Yo @[URL="http://forum.turboduck.net/member.php?u=201"]bob[/URL] you smell of eggs! Works with spaces and most other characters too: @[URL="http://forum.turboduck.net/member.php?u=5705"]Mr Softie[/URL] :p @[URL="http://forum.turboduck.net/member.php?u=301"]#Myk2016[/URL] If it doesn't work for a member you are trying to mention then find their userid and use the [B][plain]@MEMBERNAME[/plain][/B] bbcode instead. Do this by finding the userid of the member you want to mention by hovering over their name on a post or elsewhere on the forum and look for the [B]NUMBER[/B] after [B][...]/members/NUMBER-MEMBERNAME. (I am [...]/members/1-diablo so my number would be 1)[/B] [U]Example:[/U] Yo @[URL="http://forum.turboduck.net/member.php?u=201"]bob[/URL] you smell of fried cactus! [B]([plain]@bob[/plain])[/B] And you know how you will be taking part in a discussion and then come back and scroll down to see what was said and perhaps miss someone who quoted you? Well now you will also find a little notification alerting you to this too, again with a small blurb of the response to your quoted text. There is a small niggle however, where in order to get rid of the displayed notification, you need to click the link for it. You cannot jump from the [B]Mentions[/B] tab to the [B]Quotes[/B] tab or vice versa on your [I]Profile[/I] and find both have been updated to reflect you have seen them. They need to be actioned via the dropdown itself. Hopefully you will find this at least 1% useful. [B][SIZE=4]Cheers!![/SIZE][/B] [SIZE=3][B]-- turboduck team [/B][/SIZE]

Well done!! *if you have less than 10 posts then you can still enter but will not be able to cast a vote
  13. See What’s In Porsche Pack Vol. 3 With hardly any time at all to go until PC players get to grips with Assetto Corsa Porsche Pack Volume 3, a whole batch of new images have appeared, giving us a view at all the models. Marco Massarutto was posting some of them up on his own page as he likes to do, but it looks like another team member went a step further and put even more of the set, up on Steam. This the final of the three packs, has seven fantastic cars from the House of Porsche waiting for them, and yet again the selection on offer is astonishing! Comprising of even more legends from the marque’s racing heritage and of those that are at home on the road as well as on the track, the collection contains a great set of classic and modern Porsche machinery for players to try and get a small feeling of what it must be like to actually pilot these things. As was announced a few days ago, there is a change to the originally communicated contents of Porsche Pack Vol. 3 in that the 911 RSR 2017 has been removed and the 911 Turbo S brought in to take over its place. The reason for this is that Kunos Simulazioni feel they need more time to reproduce the first mid-engined 911 as best they can and would prefer to deliver it later rather than release it an incomplete or poor representative state to the actual. Assetto Corsa – Porsche Pack Volume 3 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo S Porsche 911 GT3 R 2015 Porsche 919 Hybrid 2016 Porsche 908 LH Porsche 917 K Porsche 911 R Not forgetting that the Porsche Macan, the last of the three Porsches to be given away free to everyone, will be a part of the accompanying update to the release of the main pack, just like the Panamera and Cayenne before. Console players on PS4 and Xbox One will need to wait until the new year to see more Porsche on their copies of AC and it’s anyone’s guess as to when they will see this one. Despite that, it is excellent how Kunos is supporting this game and communicating to all factions of their community. Cannot wait to see what exciting and new prospects await the title and its players in 2017. The PC version of Porsche Pack Vol. 3 DLC for Assetto Corsa is out on December 20th through Steam. It can be pre-purchased now or bought on the day at the dedicated Steam page or will be included for those who have pursched the Porsche Season Pass. 14. BMW: Most Wanted ‘Tease the season to be jolly, Fa, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la’. In the latest ‘Week in Review’ posted up on the official Forza website we are being treated to a little bit of a mystery as to what is to come in the new year with January’s Car Pack. Discussing of how the brand new event in January will star a car from the first of 2017’s DLC, Brian Ekberg mentions that the vehicle in question is in fact “the most requested BMW in Forza history”. Leaving us to scratch our heads and ponder of just what this ‘WE WANT THIS SOO BAD!!’ Ultimate Driving Machine could be. When we take a look at the BMW history in Forza it is actually more effective to look at what has been included and start scoring out those that are the iconic and the best in most people’s eyes. And with everything from the tiny 'Bubble Car' to the M1 and many generations of M3 and M5 being featured, the list is a lot shorter than you might expect. So what hasn’t then? Well perhaps we should be taking a look at BMW’s hybrids. These haven’t made their way in yet and fingers are pointing that this is what it will in fact be. Does this feel to ring true of the "most requested" moniker being tied to it? Hard to say but there was a poll on the official forums that had the i8 leading, but with a little of just over 40 votes it's not exactly an astronomical showing of support. Taking the hybrid thinking into real consideration though which one will it be: i3 or i8? I’d love for it to be the i3 for this event just to see the faces of people but no it will most probably be the i8. Whatever it is, (40+) people want it and so it will be received well (by at least 40 of them). Fortunately there is no need to wait too long to find out what it is, as the reveal will take place next week on Facebook. [via Forzamotorsport.net]
  15. That's more a Redux hen. Or should I say Re:duck::duck: ? :D
  16. Doctor G was and is a master of that craft. *and no it's not the toilet Lexus* :p
  17. Microtransaction 'Tokens' Come to FH3 Time to get those pitch forks out and grab a flaming torch as Forza Horizon 3 has been updated with a new ‘Tokens’ microtransaction system. In an act of pure disgust they are asking for players… no wait that’s the wrong word as players don’t need to use these at all as FH3 is generally pretty good at paying out and rewarding in-game currency, providing you play through it. So in respect, this is targeted to those who don’t play that much or who want to own everything without putting in the effort to do so (whales!) via the workings of the game, delivering an option where they can pay for an easier ride. Ah, but what about all those incessant prompts and notices that will be constantly pushed in front of your eye-balls? Yeah that could be the case, if you don’t go into the ‘Extras’ tab in the ‘Marketplace’ section of the game’s ‘Pause’ menu and toggle the option. Microtransactions are and can be a menace to gaming but the ones here are not. It would be very easy to label Playground and co as money-grubbing monsters who have made it so that the game is geared (haha pun!) towards their use, but FH3 is not this way at all. Yes you will need to play a good amount in order to achieve the higher-end vehicles but that is the way it should be, no? Getting everything handed to you is no fun, well it is in the short term but it also removes playability and longevity as there is no need to continue to achieve when it’s all available to you. However don’t get me wrong. I do understand that the grind can be too much, but at the same time I also remember how boring a game can become after everything was unlocked. It’s a hard thing to get right, but as long as it doesn’t feel that something has been priced extortionately high (GTA Online I am looking at you) or would require a literal year’s worth of normal playtime then I have no real problem with it.
