  1. lol. And wasn't the Supra just a fatter, longer and uglier MR2? :cheeky:
  2. It looks like it was a very enjoyable trip for all involved, it's quite something to read something where everyone is just getting along, having a laugh as well as doing what they are there to do. Seeing how the devs were watching, taking note and listening to you guys as well as you all following the PR path and such but then being able to go back to the game and just play as you wished is really refreshing. Clearly it's not an approach that can be done by typical media and it was quote surprising to hear how you guys were the first to be allowed to see the "work-floor" where obviously the game is itself being developed so no doubt some things were seen, but at that same time we have the respect to share what we can and not just blurt out everything and anything. The bonding of everyone over meals and dinner was cool too, everyone just acting as themselves and having discussions about whatever while the hours just pass is really something you hardly ever get to read, and that's understandable as typically games-journos are there to find out things in what little time they have. It's really something that they brought those of us from the main community side over to them and from all places of the world too. The future support that will be provided to the game looks to be strong and the willingness to hear feedback from their playerbase will only help intensify that. :D
  3. That's awesome Milli!! It would be cool to see the top half as green to resemble the helmet and if you could get the iconic tarmac background on the bonnet/hood erm boot/trunk (front of the car) I think that would be it about done apart from some crazy sponsor branding of course.
  4. I heard also that PC will probably support 60fps+ from ermm ....a trusted source of an even trustier source. :oook:
  5. I love (and hate grr!) that there has been one staring us all right in the face on this very forum for a while now.
  6. You see, these are the things we notice!! That sets us apart from the normal gaming press.
  7. Another fine preview this time from a Canadian news outlet, reading this one it's easy to garner the laid-back nature the reporter felt on their outing with the game and also the way they mention the Aventador being "too much car" for them certainly raises hope for a non-on-rails handling setup that many are hoping for. :D 'The Crew' fuses RPG with driving sim: 'Your character is your car'
  8. This is what I'm thinking, some of the context is being lost with these quotes and responses.
  9. Eurogamer has always had a soft-spot for TDU and gets the notion of it being an epic driving game rather than a typical racer and it appears again that in this preview from them that they get the same impression from The Crew. That shouldn't be surprising seeing as the game is from a large swathe of the former 'TDUteam' but it makes for a fine read when it comes from this sort of perspective and nicely comments on the areas where this matters as well as the traits that have been borrowed and the items they have truly worked to improve on. From this Preview too it seems to put across that the whole microtransaction issue may not be as big a problem as we may be thinking from other reports, as he talks at a point about how he along with "his guide" strings a number of Skills which helps to unlock parts and how they themselves are plentiful. Well worth a read and a watch! Source: The Crew levels up the CarPG Eurogamer.net
  10. It depends, 30fps games usually have nice looking visuals and effects but it can't be denied that 60fps does move smoother, however if 30fps games have a good motion blur and other effects it can negate that as when your eyes are looking at the screen you'll hardly ever notice a slight judder on that sponsor banner you just went under. That's not to say that there may well be people who are sensitive to a lower framerate but you would think they would be in quite a minority.
  11. The 30/60 isn't an issue for myself either, plenty of really good racing games (Forza Horizon, TDU, PGR3/4) have been 30fps and haven't caused me to cry or my eyes to bleed so it's not a thing for me and I don't get the full-on hostility some people evoke when this number comes up. However the "parity" issue does concern me.
  12. Julian Gerighty has confirmed to VideoGamer.com that the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game will run at native 1080p/30fps and that the PC "won't differ too much" as they are aiming for "parity" across the versions. Clearly with the power difference between all platforms each should be able to show it's strength but if they are looking to hold back the others to please the lowest common denominator (Xbox One) then that just seems a really dangerous slope to travel down. What do you think about this? Source: The Crew runs at native 1080p/30fps on both PS4 Xbox One - The Crew for PS4 News HOWEVER... According to destructoid the PS4 may have anti-aliasing compared to the Xbox One.
  13. This is a full price off the shelf game, this is happening more and more with microtransations appearing in these sort of games and it is not what people want. Unfortunately due to "whales" and iOS muppets it will only get worse but that doesn't mean we have to smile and be glad about it. It's funny, many people these days would probably wish to get the EA 'Unlock' style DLC options back rather than be constantly reminded of real-money purchases within the game itself.
  14. Watching that video above and I am only at the Aventador being customised part but my god does that car look HAWT!! They weren't kidding when they said customisation was a big thing were they!? That 'Exterior Free Camera' is a bit mental, seeing the car moving about like that and such, good way I guess to see how your touches look when the car is moving, the wheels anyway. :) "Feels like a Top Gear Challenge", this guys is finding out what many TDU players have been doing for years!! I believe I see (6m30s) an Aston Martin V8 Vantage S. Oh no, not liking that mention about the "game being built around microtransactions", hopefully they learn from how consumers made Turn 10 regress on the intrusive nature of microtransactions and don't try and fleece the players by making the natural play-through of the game a chore or padded out to make you pay. Be interesting to see how people receive this news and I feel like they will have to come out and be clear on what they are saying as it's so easy to get the wrong idea if something is said in the wrong way. Wait is that the first time we've seen a Pagani in The Crew? Looks great racing alongside the Aventador. :D
  15. Understandable, how many you got now?
  16. Went for T1M, was considering Milli and would have went for hers if there was a better car on it. The CRX is just not the car I personally associate with as the good days of GT2. Sorry.
  17. Ubisoft have posted this very short teaser video on Instagram, looks like they may be hinting at some event where certain people got to go and see the studio and play the game perhaps? Just a guess off the top of my head. :susp: Instagram
  18. Just a note that there is just under 7 hours to go before this offer ends. Your support is what keeps this place going so please if you enjoy the :duck:, consider contributing to our costs. Thanks!
  19. 84. Doubt I'll reach that with the stress levels I be hitting in the next 2 years though. What a way to hit my 15k post too.
  20. Granny must be driving in the bottom of that last one I gather? :)
