  1. Hi there Elias, welcome to the :duck:! That's cool that you have been a TDU fan since you were that young and continue to play it even now. Also impressive to know that you are learning how to model and do sound work. Look forward to seeing and hearing what you are working on.
  2. Need for Speed Payback – Cops Trailer For a long time the police pursuits have been a much-loved part of the Need for Speed series of games and a big reason for this was because of the challenge they posed to the player. Unfortunately over its history, a number of the games seemed to forget this, even to the point of not having any at all, whereas in others they felt more like scenery than an actual obstacle you had to deal with. If we ignore the classic 90s-era games there was one of this century that did them really well and that was the original Most Wanted. These officers were hell-bent on taking you down, and as you avoided their traps – pissing them off more and more – they increased in wanting to get a hard take down upon you. This usually came about by way of a lunatic in a heavy SUV called the ‘Rhino’, which would speed towards you head-on, looking to damage and stall you long enough in order for an arrest to be made. With Need for Speed Payback, the cops are back to their good (bad?) old ways. That will annoy some but honestly, running away easily is no fun, and if you’re honest with yourself, you will admit that it’s the thrill of the chase that really makes these games. (or maybe you’re just all about that customisation) The action-packed trailer starts in reverse, well the BMW M5 is in reverse, then it jumps to 90 seconds earlier to show the end of a street race that has just taken place. With the tire smoke just having cleared after a nicely executed handbrake over the finish line, a swarm of police cruisers race towards our protagonist and a couple of his tricked-out opponents, while a British voice ever so eloquently squawks, “Crap! Cops!”. Now the chase is on and within the cops’ arsenal are road blocks, spike strips, gentle(!) sideswipes, EMPs, and last but not least, the Rhino – this inducing fear into street racers monster has been working out, as it is now beefed up in size, resembling something more of a SWAT truck than the heavy SUV from before. If this thing connects with something, it is going to leave a mark! A posting on the official Need for Speed blog reveals some more information about the tactics they will employ and shares more information about the hero car of the new BMW M5 seen toying with the cops through some exquisite driving. Need for Speed Payback – Fairhaven Police Department Crown Victoria – The standard and most commonly seen cop car across Fortune Valley. Can execute a variety of different manoeuvres and will likely be the first on the scene of any pursuit. Dodge Charger SRT8 – Similar to the Crown Victoria but has a higher top speed and has much more muscle, proving it to be a worthy adversary. Corvette GS – The fastest cop car currently residing in Fortune Valley and provides the police department with something that can keep up with the most powerful of super cars. Rhino – What the Rhino lacks in speed it makes up for in brute strength and there’s nothing quite as frightening as an approaching Rhino, lining up a shunt. The weight that it carries will also make it considerably tougher to get away from during a pinned-in situation, making the Rhino a massive threat all round. Helicopter – The eye in the sky provides an extra level of drama in the highest intensity cop chases. This change of vehicle type does raise one obvious question: how in the hell is it going to keep up with the vehicles in the game without looking stupid? From what is said above about it, chances are it's going to be a real menace from the front, rather than a worry from behind.
  3. The new BMW M5 gets a very cool albeit short trailer all to itself. Car looks good with all that powersliding about. :D Need for Speed Payback Driving the Incredible all-new BMW M5 Fun little live-action video of the actual car with a police chase!
  4. I do like that the police seem to be more menacing again, and that we see the return of some firm (un)favourites.
  5. He's certainly getting about the world and into the swankiest parties these days. Having trouble locating his copyright in this one mind. :eek2:
  6. Awesome shots @TDUFREAK500. I really like the little subtle sunlight glint on that Audi R8 shot. What car sounded the best when it was let loose?
  7. Limited Edition Gran Turismo Sport PS4 Bundle The Gran Turismo series is well-known for being a system seller for PlayStation, and so just like the special console bundles that have come before, a new Gran Turismo Sport PlayStation 4 bundle has been announced to coincide with the first foray of the Polyphony Digital series on the near 4-year-old! console when it lands from October 18th. (man they take their time!) Being more than just a nice box design with a standard system and game inside, this special edition PS4 is actually a good looking piece of kit from what we can see, with a special silver faceplate atop a black contrasting body, adorned with the obligatory GT logo. And gosh darn it, too often we see the system itself getting the special treatment alone, not this time though, as the controller also gets treated to a new paint scheme, sharing the same silver and black combination of that of the system. Available only as a standard PS4 and surprisingly not also in a PS4 Pro guise, the bundle includes a customised PS4 1TB console, controller, and a Day 1 edition of GT Sport. Oh and GT fans outwith the UK, Europe and Australia need not apply, as it’s only available in those regions, sorry. What is the premium for this? Umm well, that’s not actually known at this time. The limited edition console comes with a Day 1 edition of the game which provides access to $250,000 in-game credits, livery sticker packs, a chrome racing helmet and 60 PS4 avatars. Not having the system available in a PS4 Pro example seems a bit of a misjudgement as the title is enhanced for the system and if there is one thing that the series is known for, it’s being a graphical tour de force. Therefore, a high-end special edition would make sense, right? Those already who have their systems but really like the look of the controller will be thrilled to know that it will be available to buy separately or as a bundle with a standard copy of the game, (why not the Day 1!!! - Gah!), along with the normal PS4 bundles detailed below: Other Gran Turismo Sport PS4 Bundles That’s not all though – we have more bundles available to suit every player which all come with a standard copy of Gran Turismo Sport: Jet Black PS4 1 TB edition Jet Black PS4 500GB edition Jet Black PS4 1TB + extra Jet Black DUALSHOCK 4 edition Jet Black PS4 Pro edition Questionable decisions aside, the wait for a PS4 Gran Turismo game is almost over, and let’s just hope, it was worth it. 8. That is a nice looking console I have to say. Strange they haven't done a PS4 Pro version as you would think they would want to push that system as being the system to play GT Sport on. :oook:
  9. Marchettino did a walkaround the incredible Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Convertible and damn it looks absolutely gorgeous! :loveit:
  10. Ah okay, thanks for the explanation. Your before and after was just making me question some of the great images I have seen and was wondering if they were taken like that (with some minor corrections) or had been made. I only have basic photography knowledge so you kind of threw me for a loop there.
  11. What's the deal with this pic @Rassva: Is the car moving and you've captured it as a static shot and given it more movement afterwards, or is the car static and you've turned it into a moving one through editing?
  12. The more I look at it the more I start to like it. There are flashbacks to the 456 and 550/575 in the front that I can see and the side profile takes some cues from some great looking cars.
  13. How good do those shots look, not too thrilled with the Huracan trio when there is much more from Lamborghini available. Yes I know DLC will probably bring them later but it seems a bit rich to call it 7 Lamborghini's imo.
  14. I am loving these retro-future concepts that are coming out right now. That Merc is stunning! Interior might be a bit overdone with all the lights though.
  15. Interesting colour scheme but what a great shot! Love the colours, the setting and the sharpness of it.
  16. I agree with Mike, it is just a shade too dark but I do like how you've brought out the edges (via contrast?) of everything which has given more clarity to the whole image.
  17. I been on a real mission to listen to all the glorious sets from the Belgium Tomorrowland shows. So good! :D
  18. Come on Rass kick us off with one of your own. :)
  19. Hmm, it's not often you see a wet tarmac with cream interior colour scheme on a car.
  20. I don't think the colour does it many favours. It's got a lot of cool styling cues which I hope to see in their future models.
  21. Don't mind icons showing up or being able to be recreated. It's part of the legacy, why shouldn't it be celebrated. :)
  22. Amazing photos of such a beautiful place. That third shot especially with that view. Thank you so much for sharing these.
  23. I think some of the styling is lost with the colour but damn that is a very pretty and aggressive looking car. I'm particularly impressed with how they have made a bulbous rear look so sleek.
  24. They are bringing their mobile racer to the Nintendo Switch so that's something. Whether this buyout will affect any plans they might have had, who knows!
